Dunne again being a douche

dunney is a legend, that is why he should be able to give his opininon, i understand it could be contrived that he said it in a disparaging way, but we all know that it can be translated in a way that gets the journo extra points, IMO it has been writen or reported out of context.

Well i saw it come out of his mouth!!!

Like I said earlier though, he's been asked direct questions during a quick interview at the opening of a fucking envelope or whatever it was. He didn't gather the world's media on his front lawn for an emergency press conference and start ranting about how he'd love it (love it!) if Stephen Ireland signed for Villa and how James Milner shouldn't go anywhere near City because their owners are bastards, their fans are cunts and their shirts aren't fit for bog roll, did he?

I don't see what he's said that's so heinous or conclusive anyway. Just looks like the standard dull footballer answer to the standard lazy line of enquiry to me.

Ok, can you highlight the bit where Dunne is being a douche here, as I'm not seeing it?

Dunne is a legend at the club, and despite being treated awfully, has had very little bad to say about us.

Coming out with your bullshit as usual hey Damocles you liberal bastard. To call that lumbering twat a Legend is an INSULT to real legends like Bell, Lee, Summerbee and even the Goat and Dicky. Dunne got away with murder for years, getting carried by Distin but taking all the plaudits, as much as Distin was a nob by leaving in the manner he did, no wonder he got pissed off because of fans like you with your heads up Dunneh's arse. Ever realise how Dunne's form seemed to 'drop slightly' after Distin left. Instead of Distin carrying him like he had done for 4 years, he had an out of position Micah Richards trying to make up for his 3 or 4 errors per game, which effected Richards game and he's never been the same since. And before you start with the loyalty bullshit, remember how he threatened to walk to the only club who ever came in for him, Portsmouth, because the club's fortunes looked bleak. Martin O'Neil's master stroke wasn't signing Dunneh, it was signing the most underrated Centre Back in the Premier League: James Collins.

Basically Damocles you egotistical nob-weed, you can stick your Richard Dunne up your arse.

Well I like Richard Dunne, always have and always will do, I know he made some errors when he was playing, but who doesn't? and I felt that he was treated unfairly by City, hence his leaving us but whether City put another bid in for Milner or not I just hope Dunne doesn't start putting players off coming to City because that seems to smack of being a bit spiteful and I reckon Dunney is a bigger man than that, well I certainly hope so or maybe I have been wrong about him.

I could just know only people who do not rate dunne

I do except it was a figure of speech but in my honest assessment that most of dunnes fans seem to post on bluemoon and whilst bluemoon may be the biggest and even the best City forum it is not the ultimate City consencus the vast majority of city fans do not post on here

Total utter fucking bollocks. Your argument - and I use the term very lightly - does not even begin to stack up in any sense that could be called logical.

The people slagging Dunnie on here must have a combined age of about 15 and an even lower IQ.

You know whats funny about your post? Its that you get all angry about my post, what bollocks it is etc, and try and shit on me, but don't give any reason why Dunne was so good, funny...

Dunne is a professional who plays for another team. He's trotting out uncontroversial, dull, bog standard footballer fayre in answer to the usual boring questions.

He's hardly going to say that Milner should leave because City are better and Ireland shouldn't sign for Villa because they're shit, really, is he?

I don't see anything there that is disrespectful. I don't see anything interesting, either.

It's about the most unremarkable set of comments you could imagine him coming up with in this situation really.

Cheers, the majority of blues I know, and yes thats a lot like most blues, all agree, its just the wets who wanted a hero in the dark days who cream themselves over Dunne. In fairness, he's a decent bloke, or he was until he started bitching about City. I met him a few times during his time at City, and though I was largely underwhelmed by his presence, he did come across as an ok guy, just a very, very, very average footballer, and thats putting it kindly.

your assessment of dunnie is well wide of the mark,he was a great sevent to the club, thats your opinion.
you can though cut out the abuse of a fellow poster.

Dunne is only stating the obvious, Villa can't offer the wages to Milner City can, most young footballers would move at the offer of double your wages, and greater chance of winning something. Dunne also knows that if City improve there offer, Villa will except, they have no choice, they are in debt, don't have unlimited funds and there side needs more strength in numbers, especially as there will be at least 5 departures from the Villa squad this summer. Mentioning Ireland is a good call by an experienced player looking after his club, as he is even less likely to play next season at City. I'm guessing if Dunne was ten years younger and in Milners shoes he'd consider a move, even if he wasn't guaranteed to start every week.

I don't understand how people can slate Dunne. I thought he wasn't great in his last season for us & thought it was the right time for him to leave when he did. But he had quite a few seasons for us when he was solid. He always comes across as a good guy too. I don't think there is anything wrong with what he has said, Ireland seems to be out of favour here so he would probably be best to move on. I hope we don't sign Milner either.

"wets"?

"liberals"?

LMAO.

Someone has been reading the political section of the Talksport Thesaurus.

Can you throw in "lefties" or "hand wringers" too please.

I am waiting on a moronic rhetoric treble with Paddy Power. It pays double if they are used in completely the wrong context. And I'm expecting to collect.

Bill if it'd hadn't of been a mod/ex-mod who I gave 'abuse' to, would there have been any caution? Somehow I doubt it, I enjoy Bluemoon but I really dont like the whole cosy club atmosphere, and the 'Your wrong, I'm right' clique. Thats not aimed at you, I'm talking about the likes of Damocles here.

It's just my opinion but to say Dunne is a Legend is madness in the extreme.

This guy stayed around for a few years, after we saved his career, and did a decent job. No more, no less.

If you dont believe that then think about all the times he got sent off. I havent the time to check but I wonder how many of these games we went on to lose? Oh and then there are the own goals and the goal resulting mistakes.

To call Dunne a legend reduces the great players who played for our team. I've been watching city since 74 and I would never put him in a team of the best players since then. So why would anyone call him a legend? Was he a Dave Watson for instance? Was he hell. He wouldnt lace his boots.

Oh and dont forget that he cost us our biggest game for 30 years. Hamburg at home: Sent off, for kicking out at an opponent, enough said.

typical city supporters. even when we have not played for weeks you still spend all your spare time knocking player's and ex players.
piss and moan artists who will never be happy.
