Dunne, Whats the score?

Dunne was poor for most of the second half of last year and has been an asbolute monstrosity this year - one of the worst players in the league. He's a weak link now and must be replaced.

4 times city player of the year

this year as good as ned is he is still inexperienced,

bridge is trying to settle in having not played much, dont like the fact he only uses his right foot for standing on unsteadyly,

richards is till only 20years old and not had a good season.

and to that zab vinny and nigel are still trying to bed in to the defensive part of the team

if you look at the rags they have two experienced centre backs and a settled team unfortunately.

dunne has been a loyal player since his alleged boozy days and a stalwart of our defence until his dip in form which every player goes through, i also think hes been one of our better player over the last few games.

why is it disloyal to want a better player
personally i agree dunne has had up & down season but is not exactly ready for the scrap heap yet.
but if a better player becomes available for any position then we should get him if we can.
if you follow the loyalty angle we would stll have alan oakes

oh if only

I've defended Dunne time and time again this year but I think now he has to be replaced, he's too much of a liability, I wouldn't sell him though as he would be a brilliant squad player to have and is very good on his day.

Dunne has been an excellent servant for the club, 4 player of the season awards whilst we struggled along under numerous managers playing some truely awful football are testament to that. However we have now reached the point where Dunne is, unfortunately, not good enough for where the club sees itself going. He's a solid defender normally but, even before this season's implosion, he was prone to gaffs, and his distribution has never been all that strong. There's still a place for Dunne within City's squad, but as a regular starting centre half I feel we need a higher calibre player to move us forward.

His 'dip in form' has lasted longer than a year now IMO. As for him playing well the last few games well yea he had a glorious purple patch of about 6 games but he stupidly got himself sent off in the european game and was shite against Fulham where he made another typical dunney catastrophic error that cost us another goal

Fuck me, if anybody from the club took any notice of which players we should get rid of from this forum, we would be selling the whole fucking squad in the summer. Some fns are becoming too big for their boots, they think if someone has a bad game they should be sold, thats no way to go about getting a team to challenge the top 4, that's the road to anarchy.
