I'm just a fan of not killing anyone who has a different political view than I have, obviously that's not enough for the far lefties.

It was a civil war obviously there was going to be killing on a huge scale. Spain had elected a Repuplican government that was not to the liking of the church, the army or indeed the land owning classes.
