Dynamo Kiev - Post Match Thread

Were praising the club reaching the 1/4 finals of the CL for the first time in its history. What is your issue with fans appreciating that?

Some people have lots of 'issues' in life and find the internet therapeutic.

'Issues' is the modern word for what my dad used to call 'puddled'.

Professional performance last night. Usual clowns around me demanding we attack and score. Not sure they understand football. That has been our Achilles heel in Europe.
Well done city

Listened to Townsend and Miss Dalglish rattling out negatives on Radio in the car, got home and looked on here to see so called City fans running City down even more, especially those who claim to to be Superfans and yet had been posting since just after the match finished. Either they live next to the ground or watched their points collections and bits of the match from their armchairs.

Even talkshite was (reluctantly) praising us as the the first and probably only English club to get through this season which is more than our 'whinging bastards' have done on here.

They must be loving this on Rag Cafe, ideal for them in the run up to the derby.

There are these things called 'mobile phones' which have been invented. You can actually connect to the internet from them. You can even post whilst watching the match with this thing called 'wifi' & I actually had a really good 4g (that's for transmitting data) signal in the South Stand last night.

Couldn't be arsed posting on here though.

Lol only City can get to quarters for first time in history and get this sort of reaction.

The more I see of Navas, the more I think his penalty at Wembley was a bigger triumph than Edghills!

I hope Pep is calling the shots re transfers because the majority since Mancini left have been laughable.

Injuries aside, last night was the perfect performance. Controlled, conserved energy, didn't take undue risks, and basically got the job done.

Looking forward to the draw on Friday. Honestly I'll take anyone but a team with Messi in it.

So you are typing away on a little phone during and after a match?

That is even worse than watching it in an armchair but most of all it seems like the excuse plastic rags from Malaysia use when challenged for posting 2 minutes after the finish.

You have to be very careful when challenging the negative buffoons on Bluemoon. They get very agitated very quickly.

Did what we needed to do and the result is what mattered. Gutted about Kompany though, I've already had Rags on the phone celebrating Sunday's win.

I just hope we get a kind draw kn Friday and smash the Rag fuckers on Sunday.

Navas has been a great signing imo. He was very influential in quite a few games in our first title season. He's a squad player 100% & we've all seen enough of him now, but he's done a great job for the money. He & Negredo made a big difference to the club early on in that season & got us off on the right foot.

He seems to have run his course now but I bet even now he'd look fine in Leicester's team.

Nothing wrong with any of that mate. I'm loath to hear critiscm from anyone outside City, I can't watch BT, Sky or read the tabloids. The only interaction I get with other blues (who are not mates etc) is on here and if I can't vent on here then when can I? That's all it is by the way - just venting frustrations on what has become a long drawn out couple of years with a manager who's a sitting duck. That's not to say I won't be booking flights as soon as the draw is made for the next round or I won't be taking my seat up on Sunday.
I'm just passing the weeks until the new era sets in, then hopefully we'll all have something to smile about.

its a strange thing, we can all call the team or individuals but get defencive when someone else does it. i agree with your opinion of manuel pelligrini as it happens, not coming in the top 4 with this team would be criminal under-achievement, as much as some others scream we are hurtling towards 6th position.

No, as I said, I wasn't. I just used it to see who the subs were.

But I wouldn't be any less of a fan if I chose to, & wouldn't require permission from you or other superfans like Billy Goodytwoshears.

And do

And don't we all know that you have yours? You splatter them all over here like a duck crapping as it waddles along.

Who will you be supporting on Sunday? And where from?
What a bizarre man you are. I'm hardly prolific in my posting.
Your last couple of lines are tragic.

So I see. Even moderators seem to to do it. Some comments look like the work of the deranged. Or rags fans. Or both. Perhaps they we sniffing something in their mums' toilet at half time.

The main thing was that we got through, If City get through the next round and the one after that in the same way I will be delighted. Unfortunately tickets for the Big Match will not be available as the same sort of people will be using their points collection albums.

It was always going to be a "don't mess up" game, hard to play with any tempo because of the need to keep the back door shut. The two injuries clearly affected the mood, the use of two subs so early on also reinforced the need to preserve energy.

If we had produced this performance in 13/14 there would have been much more praise for the professionalism of the performance. The problem at the moment is that there seems to be a feeling among the fans that this is almost as good as it gets, rather than playing within ourselves we didn't really have another gear if we had needed it.
