Dzeko and Jovetic latest?

Just noticed something else about that horrendous Dzeko miss. It's not just the Roma players who are holding their hands up to their faces, as they stare on aghast. One of the opposition players does too! I'm telling you — pmsl!!

Dzeko had become the same half arsed, can't hit a bulls arse with a banjo, player Bony is accused of being.

If we had the 20 odd goal per season Dzeko then fine. But if we had the Swansea version of Bony then fine. Or the original version of Negredo, or Jovetic from Fiorentina.

What do they all have in common ? Gone from goalscoring hero to absolute zero under Pellegrini.

Jovetic was often quite good, but injured all the time much like when he was at Fiorentina. If we want the Bony that Swansea had them maybe we should play like Swansea but, ultimately, I don't think anyone really wants that. Negrado was great until he got injured and had a whole host of personal problems which forced in back to Spain. Dzeko only scored 20 goals in one season for City - 2013-14 when Pellegrini took over.

Blaming Pellegrini for Dzeko being a lazy, egotistical, mard arse makes no sense at all. Pellegrini may have many faults but making strikers perform poorly is not one of them.

Dzeko's good in a great team in which all 10 of his teammates are playing brilliantly and laying on a plate 6 yard tap ins for him. Put him in a side playing averagely and he's the first to down tools.

Sad to say but my abiding image of Dzeko sitting on his arse thumping the pitch petulantly because the referee can tell the difference between a tackle and a foul and he couldn't. Would still swap him for Bony though.

Swansea played posession based football, same as us, but with a vastly inferior squad. Yet still managed to get crosses in & feed their cf. As do Bayern Munich.

We did it for half a season with Negredo.
