Carroll is easily one of the most overrated strikers in the league

My mums mate carol > carroll
Carroll is a decent player just 15 years too late. He's capable of some ridiculous stuff because he's big, strong and can hit a ball hard however i'd question his overall level of fitness to be effective over the whole season. I expect Dzecko to outscore him this season. Dzecko showed his ability with that great goal against Bolton and can make that a base level of performance where as Carroll might score more spectacular goals Edin will score consistently good goals.
I do find it strange though considering the amount of criticism that we get for over spending that much more isn't made about the fee. Patrick barclay said the other day that he was effectively a free transfer.
