Dzeko documentary

If he had a first touch, he would have been world class.

Does the chest not count as a first touch?

Being facetious, obvs. But that is as much of a cliche as it is a valid point, imho. One of those, yes and no.

I’ll always remember games like Villa at home in the run in where it was 0-0 in the 2nd half, or Everton away. He scored so many vital goals.
Even Chelsea at home (the one where Nasti got the winner) where he didn’t score but he came on at 1 0 down and completely changed the momentum of our play and the game

Took a while to settle and probably not helped by being in and out of the starting line up at times but certainly proved his worth and scored some crucial goals. Not sure our systems of the time ever got the absolute best use of his talents, our wide players were often Silva and Nasri who were more about intricate patterns and pass and go moves, Dzeko may have been more suited playing in a team with more traditional wingers getting the ball in front of him where he was at his best. Also his timewasting lie down at Goodison in 2014.

The goal he scored away at Spurs in the 1-5, which resulted in Nasri’s sex face, is one of the best goals City have ever scored. He was immense that day. One of the greatest performances in our history.

Will always be a Dzeko fan.

Weird day that. We were on a barge trip to Liverpool down the Ship Canal with about 14 Reds and caught the first half in a pub. The coach journey back to Salford Quays consisted of me listening to them beat Arsenal 8-2 whilst every one of them took the piss unmercifully and, as if things couldn't get worse, we arrived back just as they were all coming out giddy as fuck because they were top of the league. Only one of them (and he's a twat) had the decency to text me when we won the league and say "you deserve that if only for the shit you took that day"!!

Bought for 26m, sold for 14m, got our money's worth, with some 70 odd goals and a few trophies.

The club acted well, enabling his move when he wanted it for a value and loan structure suitable to Roma, without haggling or frustrating anyone. People forget we are good to our players.

Sold Edin for 14m, replaced by 27m Bony.
