Dzeko to Dortmund

This the same midfield that provided enough firepower for our strikers to break records both club and league?

Everyone is having an off season bar Zaba. We don't need radical changes just improvements in terms of some width and direct pace eg Sanchez and a playmaker eg Benat who can sit in midfield.

We will suffer if we go out and sell everyone then replace them.

Nasri, Barry, and clichi need to go. replace with banes, isco and give rodwell berrys job get benat as backup and win the league simple.
I disagree. You can't rely on Rodwell to stay fit. Benat is good but playing him and Yaya as our two central midfielders would be ridiculous - no progression in CL with those two in there. And Benat isn't that good. Like, he's not close to being a world class player. But yeah, Isco is awesome.

Reminder too that providing they get the right manager, Chelsea will be a real threat next year. Along with their current squad, they may have De Bruyne, Lukaku and Courtois. Almost certain they'll spend too with some old, hefty earners off the books.

Why he couldn't repeat what he did in Germany ?
We don't play to his strengths like they did at Wolfsburg. The spurs game nasri kept crossing dzeko kept scoring. If we play wingers his does good. When we at passing game or whatever he struggles bc he does not have the greatest touch. There are even games where I see him drift to the wings and his our tallest striker does not make much sense. If he went to Bayern where they have robben n ribery on the wings he would score over 20+ goals a season easy.

Muller, Shaqiri as well as the overlapping runs of Alaba and Lahm. Bayern for me have a pretty good balance between crossing and intricate passing/through balls through the middle.

I personally dont rate dzeko much at all and despite him being our top goal scorrer from this season just hilights cities current form to be nothing compared to what we where last season and we need changes... in my opinion dzeko to dortmund would be a good deal and it will make room for a new striker because at the moment we need world class players and dzeko simply is not one.

This, Danny Simpson [spits] was right when he said "Dzeko is pants"

His goal scoring record is as good if not better in England compared to time played. It's much better comparing to the way he was used at Wolfsburg where he was the main player and one you look for when you get the ball.

His overall game is not on same level though, strange stuff.

I look forward to the 'dzeko scores 2 more' 'why did we sell dzeko? ' bring back dzeko!' 'dzeko scores again' 'dzeko golden boot winner' threads.

In the Bundesliga

111 matches, 66 goals, 28 assists, 8957 minutes played
0.59 goals per match, 0.85 scorerpoints per match
a goal every 131 minutes, a scorerpoint every 93 minutes

In the Premier League

70 matches, 28 goals, 12 assists, 3713 minutes played
0.4 goals per match, 0.57 scorerpoints per match
a goal every 132 minutes, a scorerpoint every 93 minutes

In the Bundesliga he only was subbed 15 times and came into the match 9 times. Whereas in the EPL he already got subbed 34 times and came into the match 13 times.

I do not think that his numbers now are worse - especially if you take in mind that he seldom plays a whole match and often gets substituted. When you e.g. see that he scored 33 of his 66 goals in the Bundesliga after the 60th minute - 20 after minute 75 - and he usually started - that might have an influence, too.

------------

Why do I always read the misconception that it is good for a forward to have Robben on the wing? He ain't really the one that provides.
