That's completely besides the point. The point is a current City player made a comment which may dissuade a target from joining the club.
Looking at it with the best interests of the club in mind he should not have made that comment.

All questions asked by reporters should be truthfully answered then? KDB and any other player knows that they have to really perform to get into the starting line up and however KDB develops that would still be the case, another year at Wolfsburg isn't going to change that. He's a bit of a **** but that's all right because nobody is perfect.

You're missing the point. A current employee of Manchester City has made a comment in public that may dissuade a transfer target from joining us. Regardless of whether De Bruyne pays any attention to it or not it is not something he or any other employee should be doing.
