Was there a rainbow shooting out of his arse or something? Or are they as surprised as me to find out Edin can sprint?

Devil's advocate, what if he falls awkwardly, or twists and ruptures his knee ligaments whilst training with Roma, a side he hasn't signed for yet?

They'll pull the plug and send him back, and we've got a crocked player we can't sell for 12 months, where we'd get a lot less than £14m.

If Dzeko hasn't officially signed for Roma then he shouldn't be doing anything with Roma's squad, is it worth the risk to us financially?

Which makes it even more likely that this deal is all but done (i.e. non retractable).

I know it's anonymous but it would make sense if this was true

well if he comes back then our EDS will be okay we can do what the rags do and play him in there

Italian clubs are a joke. They could have sorted this problem out way earlier. I would ask for another 5Mio€ or take him back and sell him to someone else. Wankers.

All this "need to create a space" is bollocks anyway.

All they need to do is name him in their squad, and leave someone they don't want out of it, just like we did with Jovetic last January.

It must be "done" to some degree or our players wouldn't have tweeted him with their best wishes, but there must be some hold up in the proceedings somewhere as its in neither clubs interest not to say its official, especially as there are pictures of him in their kit training.

Anyone else think this will end up being a loan ?

The same thing happened at Swansea with Gomis last year, he said his goodbyes to his teammates ahead of a move, then it all fell through and now he's their number one choice striker. Not saying I believe this Dzeko deal will go the same direction, but it's not 100% until it's confirmed. Does seem a strange one for it to be so long after he arrived for his medical and there to be no official news, as you say I can't see how City or Roma benefit from the delay.

Sky Italia are saying it's not been announced "due to a missing document"....also says he's in training with them and "May be deployed" for the final friendly V Sevilla.
