Dzeko?

We've been bent over backwards here, £2.5m loan fee with £9.5m final fee IF they decide they want to keep him. Fucking joke.

He's a £20m at least in today's market.

Almost worth keeping him at that price. I'm really dissappointed.

Open question, and not looking for an argument, but at what point do we start questioning those at the club for seemingly not being able to seal a full sale?

It seems like so much of what we do is loans with obligation to buy, or something like that.

Fuck me are we a charity case?
We might as well change our name to Robin hood fc.
Roma, not a pot to piss in or a window to throw it out of, have seen us coming with this one.
And if Edin shows his arse like he did half the time here then kiss goodbye to it becoming permanent.
See you next July Edin.

I'm that startled I'm surprised I haven't been slapped by a shitbag. It takes the piss mate. Surely we could have sold him to someone who actually didn't mind paying for him. It's not as though he's an injury risk like RSC or someone like Wilshere. He's proven himself at the highest level, it's a fucking joke that we can't sell him outright, not a funny one either.
I'm not surprised at all, the delay was a give away, obviously they hadn't finished negotiating, but they got him over there, presented him to fans at an open medical, let him train with them, and then the cheq....sorry "a document" went missing.

Piss take.

Piss take is being generous. I would have brought him home and held a press conference telling everyone how fucking cheap and sly they are.

If we sign De Bruyne I won't give a shit about this.

That being said, what has happened to the £14m deal proposed?

All that is going to happen is Roma are going to keep Dzeko for a year, his goals will propel them to comfortable second in the league. Then they will simply fuck him off next year for a younger model.

Inter will find out how injury prone Jovetic is and they'll send him back.

Incredible that we can't get £10m for both of them, appalling business.

I'm absolutely baffled by this, I know we've let players go in the past cheap due to their high wages but this will set a dangerous precedent.

Team's will continue to play cat & mouse with us on players we want to off-load as they know eventually we'll cave and sell on the cheap.

Yup, it's our players' wages that prevents us from getting good fees, since clubs have to allocate more of their budget to the salary, leaving not a lot left. It leaves us stuck with players unless we sell them cheaply. There's been so many examples of this.

High wages combined with all these players pushing 30 isn't conducive to a high sell on. We got lucky with Negredo.

If we've got a loan fee and his wages off the books for a year then it's not that bad a deal as his value should hold next summer if he beasts it in Italy which he should do if he stays fit. But then he's a year older again.

The club were stupid to give out all big contract extensions in 2014 for players who were getting on in age and now are struggling to get rid of them.
