Gazzetta: Sevilla have joined Roma in the race for Edin Dzeko (29) and would offer £10.7m + £3.5m in bonuses. City want more than that.
Good, a bit of competition and talk of a permanent deal we should sell at around £15m rather than risk one of those Italian loan deals. Unfortunately given the state of where he wants to go £20m is out of the question.

He's off to Roma, this will be us just trying to close them.

Don't think is about offsetting our spending, its just about moving a miserable mostly uninterested player out to rid the dressing room of bad karma/vibes.

A couple more also fall into this category...

Dzeko, despite him being a lazy bastard, will always be a legend for City.

Parallels with when Yaya looked like going, we musn't forget the huge moments that he has been involved in.

Just from memory I have :

Goal v. QPR
Goal v. Spurs (one of the best headers that I've seen)
Goal v. Spurs (his 4th, our 5th, and just casually swiped into the top corner)
Goal v. Utd in 6-1 (his 2nd one when he'd lost count of the score, which was defining if only for how it represented the margin of victory) :)
Goal v. Madrid away (can this really be happening)
Goal v. West Brom away (last minute)
Goal v. Palace away last year
Goal v. Everton away last year (when Aguero had gone off injured)
Goal v. Villa at home last year (the first, liberating one)
Goal v. Utd away last year (his 2nd on attacking a near post corner)

The man has done an awful lot for his 200k a week (or whatever) and has deffo proved a good buy if we manage to get anywhere near 20m for him.

You frustrate the fuck out of me Edin, you show amazing passion when you score, and a can't-be-arsedness when it comes to closing down, but you'll always be a star.
Don't forget the two goals against Fulham after Jimmy's red card at 0-1, the late goal against Notts County to keep us in the FA cup and some huge, huge goals in the 2013/14 run in including 2 at goodison in a 1 goal win and breaking the deadlock at Villa Park. Scoring after 30s in the swamp and then that volleyed rocket into the top corner to make it 2.

Fantastic player Edin, just dead unlucky we bought Aguero.

Jimmy sent off at WBA away not Fulham
