A trip up to Manchester , with only one goal : to bring to Rome Edin Dzeko . Walter Sabatini flew to England yesterday , we 've told . Today the negotiations for the Bosnian striker has been going on , but the parties are still far apart . Still you do not see the finish line , there is a substantial difference between the supply of and demand for the Giallorossi club Manchester City . The deal continues , the future of Dzeko is yet to be written .

So looks like City and Roma are miles apart in terms of valuation of Dzeko then, no surprise really. Tight fuckers probably trying to get him for £5m + £0.5m in add ons.

Dzeko has to be worth £14m - £15m of anyone's money.

If Sunderland were willing to pay £14m for Borini, then Dzeko is a steal.

He still has goals in him, he's just not suited to our style.

I know he commands high wages, but surely that is factored into his price already.

Good luck Edin.

Would love him to stay on, if it were possible to please him with a decent number of games. Aguero has to be number one here though, and Dzeko has to be number one to be utilised correctly.

Favourite goal has to be his left footed smash against Tottenham in the 5-1.

The lad's scored plenty of goals, important goals, often even crucial goals, over his time with us; because of that I've got to wish him well with impartiality and honesty, and hope that he likes Rome as a home. Good Luck lad! We'll miss you and realise how much you brought to the team when you are gone. :)

...but it's got to be said, he's been a lamppost just as often.

£15m? A bit on the low side, but we haven't really got a good track record when it comes to recouping our original costs have we. Ho-hum. We move on.
and I'd have expected more teams than just Roma to have sniffed around for him. He's got a decent record when you play "paper football" (ie - statistically speaking).

Football baffles m sometimes.

This just came up on twitter(translated below)...lots of rumours....hope this is true....23mil euros is about £15mil...I'd take that!;)

Roma amore infinito‏@silvia77asr6m6 minutes ago
Sembra ci sia l'accordo per #Dzeko tra #Roma e #ManchesterCity a 23 milioni più bonus.

ATTENDIAMO NOTIZIE DA MANCHESTER...

There seems to be #Dzeko agreement among #Roma and #ManchesterCity to 23 million plus bonuses.

WE AWAIT NEWS FROM MANCHESTER ...

I'll be a bit sad to see Edin go. He had the ability to infuriate you with his sometimes lazy approach and he's prone to sulking when things don't go his way. However, I don't think we've ever played to his strengths and he has still managed to bang in some crucial goals. We should never forget that without him there wouldn't have been the Aguero moment.
If he goes to a club that suits him I can see him banging in 20+ goals a season.
