Offer €2m for Pjanic, and do so with a straight face

Loan with option to buy for €2m. We'll pay 10% of his wages while he's here.

Never played to his style so what makes you think that we are going to now?

Txiki knows what he is doing, Roma saying they wont pay X or now looking at Y is just the oldest bargaining tool in the world.

Lets see what happens.

Good point, maybe I'm thinking with Sterling coming in there's better service for Edin, no idea. I just think I'd rather keep him than flirt him on the cheap. Oh and he's better than Bony.

I think Txiki doesn't get credit for the decent sales he's pulled off. £24m for Negredo, big profit and his performance at Valencia has proven it was the right time to sell him.

£25m for Javi and Rodwell was not bad either. Both had a very poor couple of seasons and he pretty much got our money back.

He's not gonna let Džeko leave for pennies.

No one can deny Edin's contribution to us but that's just not true. Bony has shown that technically he is a level above, he's stronger on the ball than Dzeko, is capable of scoring just as many and let's be honest, when things weren't going Dzeko's way his attitude on the pitch could stink the place out. I actually support Dzeko and I'm glad for all he's done for us but let's not pretend he's better than Bony.

If they really want him a deal will be struck, these Italian clubs live for the drama. Rocking up claiming to be on the bones of their arses..am sure Txixi will play the game as well as them and a middle way will be found. He will know the overall picture re other deals and finances.

His time is up, he's played a huge part in our success over the last four years but hardly set the world on fire. Some great goals, some important goals and some pretty substandard performances will be what I best remember him for.
Hopefully we'll get a decent fee, he's got to be worth the 20million euros being touted, especially in today's climate. I've a feeling we'll accept a lower bid though in order to get him out of the club.
He'll go with my best wishes, I don't have any ill feeling towards him despite his often sulky demeanour.

Roma drop Dzeko for Rondon

Roma are on the verge of giving up for Edin Dzeko due to Manchester City’s demands, turning to Zenit striker Jose Salomon Rondon.

Director of sport Walter Sabatini flew out to Manchester on Sunday night, safe in the knowledge the Bosnia international wants the transfer.

However, the offer of €15m to €18m is too far off Manchester City’s asking price of €28m, though Sky Sport Italia claim it’s closer to €35m including bonuses.

With the figures at that level, the Giallorossi are forced to look elsewhere for their new centre-forward.

It’s rumoured that the next name on the list is Zenit forward Rondon, who would be available for €20m.

The Venezuela international is four years younger than Dzeko and only joined Zenit in January 2014 from Rubin Kazan.

He has a strong record of scoring in Europe, netting four times in 12 Champions League games and 15 goals in 26 Europa League fixtures.

Hopefully this will get done. He's scored some important goals, but I would go as far as saying his performances we're average or worst 90% of his time at city. Won everything in england so fair play to him.

I would be surprised if he wasn't sold.

Edin has been solid for City but the time is to move on and we need him to leave to free up a foreign spot.

Jove tic should free up space for De Bruyne and I am hoping Dzeko's space is for Pogba.

I do think one of the reasons business is slow on the foreign front is because we can't shift any of our current foreigners, Txiki is going to have some tough sales over the next few weeks.
