If people start trying to take the piss and use them in aircraft toilets then it will give airlines/authorities the perfect excuse to stop us carrying them in hand luggage, which will be a bit of a pisser in terms of a crafty toke before and after flights.

I was in a supermarket the other day and saw a lad wandering round puffing away, he had his wife and 2 little kids with him, not a care in the world, behaviour like this will do none of us any favours at all.

Such a great new way for millions of us to get off the fags but selfishness will fuck it up as usual.

and what's wrong or selfish about having a toke in a supermarket? Its not causing any harm to anyone at all. The trouble with this country is the feckin' rules, don't do this and don't do that, rules for this and rules for that. If it doesn't cause any harm to anyone people should be allowed to do what the fuck they like. The people of this country are victimised constantly, people take the piss out of the French but at least the fuckers stand up for their rights, we just take it and say fuck all, and the worst of it is the fuckin' little hitlers mooching about telling you that you can't do that. We even have to drink out of a plastic cup if we dare to step outside. I'll relax now and have a toke on my e-cig, my kids are in bed and I'm sat on my couch but I'll await the knock on the door.

Looks like I've started a bit of handbags with this one. Just to clarify, I wasn't asking coz I wanted a crafty toke in the bog, just about the rules regarding carrying an electrical item in my hand luggage

No handbags mate, just sensible debate. I understood what you meant when you asked, valid point and as it stands you're fine to take them on the plane, here's hoping this continues to be the case.

Cheers bud, as it happens. I'm with you as regards freedom of choice but it won't be long till some officious tosser decides to stick us all outside with the smokers. Wonder what the leagal standpoint is on being forced to inhale second hand smoke or would we end up with pubs having one shelter for smokers and one for vapers.

fair do's pal, I never smoked in front of my kids and one of the reasons I wanted to give up because my 6 yo was noticing and I didn't want to encourage them to smoke, I also don't use my e cig in front of them but that's my choice. BUT as they grow up they'll see people do a lot of things and its up to them and the education we give them to make the right choices. Imo if the guy wants to toke on his e-cig in front of his kids its his choice and he has to make sure his kids realise that nicotine is highly addictive and shouldn't be touched, in the end they'll do it or won't. I don't think vaping will become "cool" like smoking became, if young people want to look cool they'll still choose cigs.

Your wrong.....I've had a few lads come to my shop for e cigs as they are the new cool thing to have!

I'm surprised to hear that, most people think we look ridiculous when we're using 'em. I think it's probably more curiosity. Where is your shop btw?

Sheffield........we're turning them away but hey still get them from market stalls etc

You'll need a clear snapbag to put your juice in, they treat it like any other liquid. Can't use it "in-flight", but you can on the stairs off!

I've smoked it in front of my kids, so has my ex, but we never smoked real cigs in the house. Always vape in the car with them.

Must admit to smoking it in the queue at supermarkets when I have to wait. Obviously I stand back a bit and don't blow in peoples faces.

It doesn't affect anyone over 2ft away, unlike cigs, I don't see the big deal.

I've done a bit of research, it seems like even if the government decide to stop or tax "e-cigs", all the components will remain freely available. DIY time.

Anyone notice any side effects. I get indigestion because of these I reckon. And not being funny but the stench of my farts has gone up a notch or two. Been letting some facemelters go this last week.

23 pages and I can't believe this hasn't been asked.

I don't smoke but I want to look cool. Do they make one that looks like a Sherlock Holmes pipe?

Don't smoke myself but had to laugh at my mate. He bought the ecig when his little un was born for smoking in the house. Only thing is he has now upped his dosage to the cigar strength one and still smokes normal cigs on a night out.
