Ear Candling

Why stop with the ear?

The only reported danger is of the pressures created by the buttcandle drawing haemorrhoids into the hollow channel of the candle, leading them to be tangled up in the hot wax. It’s got to be better than going deaf.

I know a therapist that does this...did it to me once. Lie on a couch on your side, and she sticks a hollow wax candle about 10 inches long into your ear, hands around it to create a partial vacuum. Light it and the candle creates suction in the ear canal, drawing up old wax in the ear.

Then the good bit - when its burnt to about 3 inches, she takes it out and unwraps the candle to show you the gunk...loads of old black wax and golden new wax! Lovely!

She did it to a woman once as above, but when she unwrapped the candle, there lay a bloody spider, all coated in wax...from the woman's ear!!! She didn't show it to her in case she lost a client, but it certainly made me feel bloody sick! Hate spiders......

If she really likes them that much, I'll bring it with me to the Birmingham game to show her! She kept the remnants as a party piece - so much for client confidentiality!
 
My ears hurt after all this talk about wax build up.

If the hollow candle sucks all the wax out, can you use it as a normal candle afterwards?
