Exactly. 'The Festival of Lights,' of which fireworks play a big part.
Im pretty sure the tracksuited bellends that are throwing them around the streets near me have never heard of it

They probably think they can only be seen in Norway etc.

I love fireworks , the bigger the louder the better. Few years ago I had 2 , 500 shot cakes , so that's 1000 loud booms going off , I don't think the neighbors were pleased . I do feel sorry for pets and people that don't like them , not to mention the wildlife but then again I suppose wildlife is used to thunder and lightning which is far louder than the loudest fireworks.

I am glad humanity has evolved to the point where loud noises are ace

A word of warning: don't spend any time in Newcastle during October. The clever chavs (or rather, 'charvas') let them off all day (yes, in the daytime) from the moment they go on sale.

Not as bad as a few years ago they used to start in September, there has been a huge clamp down and tbh I've heard very few. Personally I think they should be for organised events only, also I think many can't afford to spunk £18 on a few seconds bang and lights.

Has anyone else got the knob-heads with their early bangers etc.
Poor dogs trembling with fear, with another possible 12 days left for him to become a nervous wreck.

I had a proper middle aged moment last week when i sent a plastic copper to go and check the clothes for cash shop at the end of my street that is now selling massive fireworks to kids.

oooh my dogs are terrfied whinge whinge whinge. Give it some earmuffs and get a life. If someone wass posting them through your letterbox I'd understand your reaction.

Coincided with the dodgy fireworks shops popping up in empty units - thought that was being done away with?

I'm sure the tracksuited bellends could'nt tell you the origin of Guy Fawkes.

Always pack the pumpkin left over from halloween full of fireworks and blow the fucker up. Ended up with a crater about 2 foot deep in the garden lat year

A few years ago, they were letting off these massive things they were more like bombs, but they must have had a crackdown around here, this year and the last couple of years it's been really quiet in the run in

Obviously never had a pet spooked by a loud bang in the middle of the day, let off by some scrote, and said pet run off into a road or something.
