I honestly think the traffic problems have a lot to do with it

BOLLOX, if like I inferred before you went to the theatre or even a concert in grid locked Manchester and paid good money to see something or some one you proclaim to love and support you `WOULD NOT` get up before the end and piss off the people you jostle past and ruin thier view before the end, every football game ticket price is roughly the same or MORE than a theatre ticket.... WHY WHY WHY you ignorant unsupportive twats have to dissrupt other peoples view of the game is beyond me, and then have the cheek to try and defend your reasons for pissing off true fans is beyond reason. Anyone unless for emergencies should stay till the end.

I have never been to a theatre with 48,000 people. Have been to many concerts with that amount and you see a lot of people sneaking out on the last song to beat the rush. Seriously though if you get that wound up about people leaving a few minutes early you need to have a quiet word with yourself.

Let me tell you and every other early-leaver-basher on here something: when you are offended by someone leaving early, NOTHING HAPPENS. Absolutely nothing. Like, literally fuck all, so all of you get off your high fucking horses and let people watch the game in their own way if it's not causing physical or actual mental harm to another supporter.

We have this thread after every fucking home game.

So what's the point of going to the game then? I go to support the team, and in 35 years I have never left a game before the final whistle and never will. To do so is to turn your back on the team, and your fellow blues who stay behind.

You see the game as some form of personal entertainment. It's not. It's your club, and your there to share the pain or the glory and in the old days fans used to get behind the team at 0-0 and roar them on for one last effort, or at the very least scream penalty at even the slightest hint of one.

I’m with you 100% Marvin - you can’t be a true blue unless you give 100% support to the club and team.

You can’t be a true blue if you:

• Don’t watch the team get off the coach and clap them on arrival. Pre-match motivation you know.

• Don’t get in your seat early to applaud them in the warm up.

• Don’t get in your seat before kick-off and sing the boys on to the pitch

• Don’t buy your pre-match beer/food etc from official MCFC outlets...FFP and all that

• Don’t wear a full City replica kit for every game.

• Don’t attend games when you have a season ticket. More than usual empy seats today and it’s no excuse that it was only Reading and the saturday before XMAS

• Don’t sing non-stop for the full 90 minutes showing how much you care

• Don’t ever go to an away game and show your support

You can’t be a true blue if you:

• ever go for a piss during the game

• ever leave your seat early before half-time to save time in the beer/food queue

• ever slag off a City player even though they are trying their best

• ever boo a substitution (and effectively Mancini) as happened the other week

• ever turn your back on the team when the game is in play i.e Poznan


That probably only leaves me and you as true blues Marvin. The thing is tho, despite having watched City live over 1200 times, I do sometimes leave early. Hope that’s ok.

That's how a vociferous proportion of this forum actually see their city support. You can see it on this thread. They see it as a job, as a duty, not a choice.

haha...superb post...comparing going to the theatre once a year with a season ticket at City!! Some stay till the end always, others leave early...whatever they are all blues by me and couldnt honestly care less as long as we win.

Great post Dave-Some must have no families,no jobs,no financial worries nothing else to worry about other than supporting city and berating others for maybe leaving early. It's really rather laughable.

At what point did anyone describe 'southern' fans as plastics, and what survey shows you stay longer than most?

Due to tourist label in the city ends of away games....it's been stated many times on this forum that people who don't go every week to home games are plastics. We don't all live in gods country.

I've never left early and never will that's my choice, what others choose to do is none of my business and has no effect on me whatsoever.
