Early Leavers

Sorry fellow BLUEMOONERS but I can't help but say "it's everyones personal choice to do as they want" on such a thread like this! I live half an hour walk away from the Stadium so fully understand early leavers in some respect having reversed my roll to when we we're @ Maine Road! (Non Driver too) O & disabled no assist needed even though I have my 2 grown up sons with me @ every match just like I had when getting 2 buses home in the days of Maine Road & Junior Blues once a month. Hey and we are the CHAMPIONS OF ENGLAND! Still on cloud 9! lol

lock the fecking gates till the ref blows the final whistle - thats what I say!

Shoot me down but I often leave early for various reasons including nerves (if close) and even superstition at one point!! Not sure it deserves a weekly thread but I Can understand why people query it, personal preference means you cannot sometimes understand why people do things that you would not do yourselves.
I cannot understand why people think you would be disappointed when you miss a goal. I am a City fan and delighted if City score whether sat in my seat or not. For me being gutted about missing a goal are more the actions of a day tripper than a true blue.

... but why oh why do people ruin my view and stand on my feet...

Are you a midget with really big feet ?
size 13 if you must know so yeah ;) and just over 6 foot but in reality to see past most people making their way to the exit, first I have to stand up to let the ignorant twats past, then to see over their part time retreating heads i`d have to be six foot six, and yes they`ve paid their money so can take their choice and go but so have I, and I prefer to stay to the end and in doing so am supporting the team and NOT PISSING PEOPLE OFF trying to miss a bit of traffic.

Will you ever learn?

Quite agree, absolute disgrace - there may be the odd plausible excuses but those who turn up late, disappear after 35+ minutes, return half way through the second half then go about 80/ 5ish why bother?

WELL THATS ABOUT 20K THEN

"How do you think it affects the team?"

This was taken from the article about the QPR game. The quote is from a man who has won almost every honour in the game:

Vieira: At 2-1 down with five minutes to go I was really stressed and started to sweat. You start to think you have thrown it away. I got really frustrated because I wasn’t playing anymore and couldn’t control anything that was happening. I’m not someone to really express it but on the inside I was very tense. People started to leave the stadium and when you look around and see that you think, “S***.”

Today, someone backdoored it from block 101 on 89" min with the derisory drone of "Well that's the league gone".

As people have pointed out, you pays your money you make your choice. However don't try and legitimise it with a negative comment on your way out.

Results speak for them self then, today and on the occasion you have quoted paddy on( who btw was a spectator not in the team). we won both games when some fans left..
Maybe we should all leave early and then the team will pull its finger out!!

Without being cliched about the "#Together" message, I think it's pretty safe that World Cup, Euro Champs, League, FA Cup etc etc winner Patrick Vieira was part of the team. Perhaps not on the pitch, but there making a difference nonetheless.

As for people leaving early and us scoring, I'd suggest it's in spite of them, not because of them. I'd wager a million pounds to a penny that we've scored more goals with a full stadium than when people are leaving in droves.

That wasn't my main point though. My issue was about negheads attempting to legitimise their early exit. Leave if you want, just don't try and encourage others to do it with counteractive comments to ease your conscience.
