Only explanation can be that some people incorporate Easter eggs into their diet on a regular basis from January to March/April. Personally can't stand the things, inferior quality and hugely overpriced for the weight you get, I imagine this coming year more than ever many eggs will not be legitimately able to be described as "chocolate". There probably more coco in the average turd nowadays.
But my biggest annoyance is how it actually devalues the occasion and celebration, regardless of why you celebrate it - religion, tradition or just togetherness. Starting Christmas sales in August just makes it feel less special, and even induces panic for some. Easter eggs in December, hoping to catch people in their pre-return to work pig out phase maybe? Money, money, money, all your problems can be solved by buying crap and consuming crap, if you still feel bad then you obviously didn't buy enough.
And don't even get me started on creme eggs. How do I eat mine? I'd rather starve than attempt one of those nausea-inducing, sugar-spunk filled vomit snacks.
