Easy Changes to Improve the game.

Miking up referees would be the single biggest change that would benefit the game. But they’re not interested in benefiting the game, they specifically want controversy because it gets people talking about the game. It’s why they resisted VAR for so long and only implemented it in a way that would still keep all of the decision making a mystery.

iirc, wasn't KDB (?) booked for taking one too quick in the past?

Vaguely remember it. Pretty sure it was a European away. I seem to remember it was a poor decision but technically he wouldn’t have been booked for taking it too quickly. It would have been because the referee had told him he now had to wait for the whistle while he gets the defenders back.

Every fourth time one of a team's players stops play for some injury or cramp ... he then has to go off & stay off for 10 mins.

If a game finishes 0-0 or 1-1, the team with the more corners wins (provided they won at least 8 more than opposition), as they were probably the ones actually trying to win it.

Actual time ball was in play is timed, and if below 70 mins at the end, the difference from 70 mins is the least the ref is allowed to add on. So if ball only in play for 60 mins, he has to add at least 10 mins.

Clock only to run when ball in play. Mike up the officials. Don’t need much else. Maybe have the 4th official elsewhere so they aren’t abused by the managers in the line.

All corners - the ball is inside the area marked, not one millimeter touching the outside of the line.

Goalkeepers to stop time wasting - Any goal kick taking longer than 10 seconds to take results in a corner kick to the opposition.
Similarly teams taking too long to take a corner, the opposition gets a goal kick
