Eating and drinking At Wembley ?

Stephchallinger is bang on about the curry houses in the brick lane area but it's the best part of about an hour's journey from where you are staying door to door. Well worth it because the quality is very good, but after the game you may not want to spend that much time travelling.

If you change your mind about the curry, try getting the jubilee line into West Hampstead. Turn right out of the tube station and you will encounter a lot more mainstream restaurants (pizza, mexican, etc) as well as some good independents. About 15 mins journey from Wembley Park.

heading the other way from Wembley Park, there is not a vast amount going away from central london, to be frank.

The outlet mall on the doorstep of wembley has more or less fully opened. It has quite a few eating options - Frankie & Bennies, Pizza Express, posh burgers etc but no authentic curry houses. Beware anybody travelling with wives or significant others who enjoy shopping - they will attempt to lure you into these shops as part of your trip. Be strong, this is a cup final not a jolly.

We met and ate in St John's Wood a few stops down from Wembley. Very nice and affluent area, plenty of pubs and restaurants just off the tube. Not a place gangs of lads would like but for couples great.

There's some very good South Indian places on Ealing Road, just south of the central tube station past the Wetherspoons. Remember being surprised by first taste of masala dosas and the like, makes a change from standard curry.

Wrong side of Wembley but Ealing road is worth a visit. Like Rusholme but more so. Lots of Indian street food and south Indian stuff like dossas and crispy bhajias (battered spicy chips). For beer Weatherspoons in Harrow. Great atmosphere last year and Ruddles Best was only £1.90 a pint. Only ten minutes on the Met from Wembley Park.

-- Wed Feb 26, 2014 8:49 pm --

Sorry, this is what happens when you post with out reading but agree with all above.
The bell pouris are very nice as well with that sweet and sour tamarind thing going on.

Anybody no any good places to eat and drink around the wembley area maybe a few stops outside wembley park tube for the sunday night? Staying at the hilton sunday night and fancy going for a curry and few beers after the match so any recommendations would helpful thanks.

Some of the best curry houses in London are in the Wembley Brent area, most cheap as chips (for London) and more importantly excellent cuisine. A simple internet search would suffice.
But trust me you do not need to stray from the Wembley area for a good curry house, especially as it has a significant population from the Indian Sub-continent
