Hello noble City fans - hope you're all well and enjoying your topsy turvy season. Anyway, I have news of an opportunity to return to the place where it all began if you're interested, an organised package trip to the Faroe Islands in late April.

No free flights (or trawlers) this time but some of you may be interested:

Cheers Durham! I would love to do that, St Georges Day flying off to the Faroes?! Perfect!!!

However, I presume it's £860 per person?!

We are still planning on going back, during the summer to catch an EB/Streymur, but I think it's gonna be via the Scrabster Ferry!!! Muchos Cheapos!

Would love to go back but hopefully still in the Uefa cup and need to save/gamble to pay for those trips.

It's nearly a year ago now that the Trawler 12 did their stuff.

Anyway, for some reason i'm unable to start new topics on this board now but i was jsut viisiting to say that EB/Streymur play some cypriot side in the champions league this week.

Hopefully they'll get through.

hi mate, its gone quickly has'nt it, i will watch with interest their progress.
our trip last year was amazing, something i'll never forget thats for sure.i will return to the faroes one day (by more conventional means) its a fantastic place full of fantastic people.
once again thanks for your help in making it happen.

Cheers De Niro, i only really stopped by as i've been doing some work today which meant trawling back over the details of your trip and thought i'd see what Steymur were up to and report in to bluemoon.

Also, the BBC series Coast starts again next week and one of the episodes will be covering the Faroes, so keep them peeled.

i remember me and me nanna didnt no wer 2 go in so jst went wer we thought woz ryt and ended up in the V.I.P section even though about 3 stewards looked at our tickets. that place is the only one i havnt got a scarf for because after working out the conversion rate and finding out they were £30!!! ther woz no way i was geting one. anybody got a spare and is willing to part with it for a bit of money???

I still keep in touch with a few of the EB/Streymur fans, and yeah, they're playing in Cyprus on the 22nd I think it is. I would love to have gone, but am too busy with work, and I did promise that I'd go watch them play in Mainland Europe when they got into the Champions League.

I'm looking at going back in October, when we play Villa away, they've got their last game of the season, including a big end of season party for 1,000 people.

Flights from Copenhagen to the Faroes were coming out about £150.....if anyone fancies it?


When I was over there, I lost my City coat, I think I left it in the hospital....anyway, got an email from the national newspaper, they've found my coat! Wanted my address to send it back to me, I think they can keep it, they've earnt it!
