user id kept private. that's often a sign of dodgy shit on ebay because there's no way anyone can contact the winner after the auction to tell him/her they've been stung.

Agreed totally if your genuine why hide it!!

Enter his username (helping.hands.shopping) into one of the ebay tools on <a class="postlink" href="http://www.goofbay.com" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;">www.goofbay.com</a> i tried but either the website is having problems or something.

goofbay should be able to tell you his bid history, how much he has made (£) selling stuff and what he's been selling, and to who he has been selling.

for some reason i cant get onto the site there today???

as I understood it (happy to be corrected) the "user id kept private" is the id of the bidder(S) and is always hidden anyway, so how does private listing work?
When I've asked q's on items they've always appeared at the bottom, if you guys have asked q's why can't I see them?

i think its upto the seller whether they want the question to be available to everyone or not
