That I totally disagree with. Barella is amongst the best midfielders in the world. What has Eze done? He is closer to James McAtee than he is to Barella, IMO.

you cant just pick a player and say that's the player we should be buying,you have to be realistic, its not all ,we want him we should buy him and everyone else is shite, if we are going for eze its for a reason,it wont be a panic buy, as we've seen we will wait if we have to, i could look through your posts on the transfer forum and im pretty sure you will of mentioned 10 players we should buy, you and that bloody @richards30 have stirred up a hornets nest of expectation. :)

Eze is obviously no Barella, not even sure why some on this forum compare them. Its not like Barella and Eze would cost us the same and its just Pep/Txiki/Omar who is thinking "Barella is a complete fraud, Eze is twice the player he is so lets spend the money on him instead". Barella is obviously not obtainable, if he was we would already have tried to sign him.

The comparison between McAtee and Eze is even more ridiculous. Eze was the best player on a mid table PL team last season, scoring 10 goals from a midfield position and got called up for England. McAtee didn't even start half the games in the Championship, failed to make the England u21 squad for the Euros and would probably not be a certain starter in any team in PL.

Barella has won a league title with Inter, gotten to a UCL final and won a European title with Italy all while being one of the top 3 players in each of those squads. He is a proven player at the highest levels with the mentality of a winner and a work rate second to none. Eze at this point in his career isn't a pimple on Barella's ass as an overall footballer, c'mon now...

BARELLA would be insane in this club. Probably cheaper than Eze and 4times the player Eze is.

City would not pay the £100m RB wanted for Gvardiol. Fee ended up £77m.

Eze if he is the target will be around the £60m mark imo. Which is probably fair in this market.

What about a comparison between Eze and Gabri Veiga (available for 34m)? At least Veiga is 20 years old and way cheaper, but close in level.
