Ebola Outbreak

I've just found out my nephew and his girlfriend are going to Africa to help. They both work in a lab analysing stuff and his company are setting up a lab in Africa to help with the Ebola outbreak. As soon as they've finished the special training next week, they fly straight to Africa.
I hadn't really given it much thought until now, but I'm worried sick for them.

I would hold off on the home coming party if I was you!

Joking aside it's a very noble gesture this really needs to be contained

As long as they follow procedure to the letter and take no risks they will be fine. Very brave if them stony! Let us know how they go on, will you be in touch with them at all?

I only really see him at family parties. We used to be really close when he was little. His mum was single and the sperm donor didn't hang around, so I used to take him out all the time. When his mum got married I stayed away so he could get used to his step dad.
We're still pretty close even though we don't keep in touch as much these days. I'll ring him before he goes and ask him if he'll have a phone out there with him.

Would be good to get some feed back on how conditions really are. Very worrying for your family though stony :(

Earlier reports said the disease spread in west Africa because of poverty and lack of safety measures, but still this nurse has caught it with all the technology and knowledge of probably the worlds most advanced health system

Don't worry. If it reaches these shores apparently we will all be ok as long as we wash our hands regularly.

The place I work for buy us all hand sanitizer to yes anyway but if Ebola becomes a real threat I will be working from home and not leaving the house. Might start stocking up on wine now! Lol

I would take a guess that this disease as mutated and can now be deemed as capable of being transmitted by airborne means. If this is the case, well we're all fucked.

What has lead you to make that guess?

Two nurses in separate countries, dressed for and following all the correct procedures, have both been confirmed contractors of the disease.
