Ederson and Ortega both staying according to Pep

I am happy with this.

It's an absolute disgrace, proper scenario of winning the lottery that guy is living, especially if those wages you quote are true, pointless all round.
Not pointless at all. You need 3 keepers, the choice is an older one or a younger one. practically every team has an older third choice keeper, theyve got the experience, the presence and are more likely to be content with the role.

They might not play any games but they train every single day with the rest of them, and so have to be up to standard on a daily basis. They'll often even be the ones staying behind after training so that a few of them can practice freekicks or whatever on them.

He's constantly cited as a key figure behind the scenes for morale so hes clearly a good addition to the dressing room. Yes the role seems cushty from the outside looking in but he's earned the role. I also doubt he's on as much as 30k a week.

Got academy keepers though ain't we, disgrace might have been a bit harsh a word to use, but come on, you must get my point.

I’m pretty sure he acts in the capacity of a GK coach and mentor to the other two so he’s not just picking up his pay and fucking off to the pub every week. Let’s not forget he’s a vastly experienced keeper who has won the Champions League with multiple teams. There’s not many knocking about with the experience he has, and he earned his right to be where he is. He’s fulfilling multiple roles.

We can argue about the obscenity of money in football in a more general capacity but let’s not lay that at the feet of Scott Carson of all people.

I don't to be honest. There's a reason most top clubs have an older experienced keeper as third choice over a young, hungry inexperienced one. They can't all have the wrong idea.
I refuse to believe websites like that. I find it weird that people are willing to believe them with zero questions asked just because it's formatted and they have every player on that. That screams bullshit to me. None of them offer up any explanation as to how they've acquired the sensitive information of players wages at every single club. There will be teammates that have no idea exactly how much each other is earning yet we're supposed to believe some random guy on the internet has access to the financial records of thousands upon thousands of players with zero gaps in their knowledge. It's one of the biggest bullshits in football but we all for some reason lap it up and accept it as fact.

I assume this means that Pep and the DoF(s?) have talked and decided they are happy with the the two keepers.

Whether it's what the players want might be a different thing, in which case it'd be down to just how much they want to leave and are willing to push for it.

Or everyone might be happy, hopefully.

I bet there are some eds lads who might already be earning something close to that

Fair enough, you think that then and I'll think the other
