When Ortega plays, teams press him. Unless the next keeper is as good with his feet, he'll get pressed.

Alisson was supposed to be just as good as Ederson with his feet when he arrived, and he can pick out a decent long ball, but teams know if you press him he panics. Ederson is the only keeper I've seen where forwards are clearly told not to press, which makes sense as you can man to man the rest of the team instead and try and restrict his options. Whenever he goes, our style will need to be tweaked even if still possession based.

Pep was not very clear about Ederson's availability at today's press conference. I think he said he was but it wasn't very convincing. He had the opportunity to say Ederson would be staying but he said was that Ederson had not knocked on his door and said he wanted to go.
