He will I am sure go on to be a legend at this club but tonight he was far from it, young keeper who will learn but you can now see why he is some way off becoming Brazils first choice keeper, they will know full well they need a better keeper than Ederson is right now if they are to win a world cup, like City would need a better keeper right now to win the Champions league.

Yeah, Ederson is the reason we’re languishing at the bottom of the table and just got knocked out of the CL in the group stage.

Also, I think he killed my neighbour’s dog.

So he is beyond reproach is he? He does not command his area nor does he marshall his defence in the way a top level keeper does, he was punching and flapping at things he should have caught.

As for your neighbours dog no idea who did that...are you sure its dead? Have you tried sticking your finger up its arse and seeing if it reacts?
 
Allison imo is a much better keeper in terms of saving shots, huge reflexes. Read reports about Klopp wanting him would be huge upgrade onKarius, Mignolet. Hope Roma rejects offers or they only cash in for crazy money. (More than 50m)

Ederson fits the Pep style tho.

Come on, mate, you don’t think your assessment is a *tad* reactionary and stricken with blame-assignment?

He’s not beyond reproach, but we’ve dominated the league and he has contributed quite a bit to that. But he is now the reason we lost to Liverpool and we won’t win the CL with him? Because of a bad performance from really everyone on the pitch (many of whom, I am told, played in front of him for significant portions of the match... that may be lies, though) he’s now substandard and we need to look for better while he develops?

I understand the frustration, but attributing this loss to Eddie, in the way you have, is over the top.

I think in the light of day later today, you may agree.

Amidst all the shambolic defending that led to the first goal, probably the least blame goes to Ederson imo.
 
Thought he looked nervous and was unusually reticent to come off his line on occasions.

The save which led to the first goal was poor, should have held it but pushed it back into danger.

Walker however - WTF !

He didn't do any mistakes but would be good to see him pull of a wonder save like he did in the last derby and what De Gea did today. He's conceded 6 goals from 6 chances in the last two games.

This worries me. He's probably the best ball playing goal keeper in the world, but he's not a very good shot stopper. Very rarely makes saves

Bollocks. Makes plenty of saves but it goes under the radar most of the time.

He has caught a case of Bravoitis at the moment whereby he is just being beaten by near unsavable shots.
 
Been very poor as of late. The pressure must have got to him. You can see him panicking. He’ll mature and be ok.
 
Today wasn't his fault but as others have said we could have done with a match winning save or two recently if he wants to be considered among the best in the league.

I think the problem he has is De Gea gets a lot more practice. Ederson has to go from twiddling his thumbs to needing to pull out a wondersave in an instant because when our defense is beat it's normally a one on one at point blank range.
