A regimented defence that has allowed 50% more shots on target than our walkabout variety (Burnley: 155, City: 103)?What Pope has in front of him is a well regimented, park the bus defence. Eddie has had a walkabout defence 60m up the pitch for most of the game, our 1st choice CB out for most of the season, our best DM playing as CB and Otomendi and Stones filling in the other CB slot. For Eddie to be going into the last game as equal leader in the GG race is unbelievable.
Yes BOTM, and that’s the dodgy defence that’s let a whole 3 more goals in than the much vaunted, more defensive set-up, dippersThe media have gone quiet on this award since Allison fell out of contention. If Pope wins it there might be some mention but if Eddie wins there will be very little.
Just like the days when Hart won it 4 times including 3 on the trot when he played behind Citys 'dodgy defence'.

The sports media in our country is a disgrace. Makes Russia and China seem positively fair mindedI seem to recall similar comments about our 'poor away record' at various times, so many times you half believe it yourself but you check snd it's completely false but the seed of the weed has been sown and people believe it. On the other hand our fantastic scoring record over the last decade is hardly ever mentioned.
Three goals against Norwich should be achievable but there will be no urging us on to score 100 again and in most papers the only reference will be in the Goals For column in the league table.

Painfully obvious watching streams in last few weeks. I watched one match with a French speaking commentary (although I don't think it was France itself. Both commentators were enthusing about the football from both sides and excited by the goals which would have just got a surly comment giving the mame of the scorer.

The votes are cast with as little regard for quality as the Eurovision song contest.Just like Delooney's recent tweet that he voted for TAA as FWAPOTY because KDB had missed too many games this season. When it was pointed out to him that KDB had in fact missed only 3 games all season he deleted his embarrassing tweet. Simple basic research appears to be no longer a requirement for pseudo journos these days.
Bloody hell didn’t know thatHe's not from Burnley though. Actually from Soham and was in the same class as the 2 murdered school girls..
