Edin is easily one of the best strikers in the league, cant believe people cant see that, he should play every game and we should play around him, get sinclair on and play aguero off him and we would not be 12 points off the pace!

Did this really need a new thread? Edin Dzeko will never get the credit he deserves even if he scored 30 goals. That is because he is tall and looks goofy at times, and that is why he's underestimated in a league that loves to see guys running like headless chickens all the time. Edin is a SMART player above all else. You see him choose to pass the ball when he gets it rather than dribble like Aguero and lose posession. He is so underrated with his ability to create chances. He always seems to have a magnifying glass on him when he does make a mistake or lose posession. But Bosnians are used to this, we must work harder in order to get any recognition and I'm glad to see his goals speak for themselves. :)

Anyone who doesn't think that Dzeko or Aguero would be among the top scorers with the rags because of the way their midfielders create chances and get the ball up the field with pace is delusional.

Well if he scored 12 golas in nearly 1000 minutes less than RVP imagine how many he would have if he plays over 2000 minutes as well.
And on top of that if he would be our penalty taker as well ( because for Cavani, Falcao there is a good part of their goals coming from pens.)
(Yeah Dzeko missed vs. Arsenal tho:D but that was probably the only time he tried in the league)

I think his goal rate is fantastic 99 minutes per goal is huge.
If a striker would start 30 matches in a season saying he is never subbed with that goal rate that is 2700 minutes so basically around 27 goals.

Aguero last season scored 23 goals in ~2600 minutes which gives 112 minutes per goal.

I think our strikers could do so much better if we would set up to get the best out of them. Playing to their strengths, in the right pace, with the right amount of support from midfield.

For Dzeko its clearly not ideal how we play but it is the same for Agüero. He gets the ball so much from 30 metres of goal with his behind to goal with 3 defenders on him. And very little movement from others or width to change it/help him...

The sooner Mancini will see it the better, until that he shouldnt say he knows whats the problem and he will fix it.

ite a well known secret, if he was at the arse or the scum he would rip this league a new one..

just get him a winger , you will see

I've been screaming this from the roof-tops since he arrived - we need to play to his strengths and not try to fit him into a tippy-tappy team

must say that I'm not sure about the
Ball overrun (i.e., touched too far ahead): RVP: 3 ED: 0 (yes, zero)
statistic as I'm sure I've seen him have a few 'second touch is a tackle' moments!!
