If you can find a post were I have endorsed what you say I have, I will be amazed.

I only judge a player on what they have done recently, and Dzeko has done far more this season than Mario has.

But you lick Mario's ass red raw so I get it, otherwise why else would you bring him up.

Seriously? He's scored against Bayern plenty. Not like our other strikers were prolific against Bayern/Dortmund or (gasp!) Napoli.

He had 4 goals and 1 assist in 8 matches against Dortmund.

And 4 goals in 10! matches against Bayern Munich.

But that is no special statistics...

He scored 66 goals in 111 Bundesliga matches - that is 0.59 each match. So to score 4 goals in 10 is under his average...

He had 8 goals in 7 matches against Stuttgart... ;), 5 goals and 2 assists in 5 matches against ManU and 4 goals and 1 assist in 3 matches against Tottenham.

Actually he nearly kept his Bundesliga average to score 1 goal every 136 minutes in the Premier League - he is at 1 goal ever 139 minutes. He even assists about the same - in the Bundesliga it was ever 319 minutes an assist - here it is every 329 minutes.

Actually he is. If you take the minutes in match and not the matches.

Bundesliga
111 matches, 66 goals, 28 Assists, came as a substitute 15 times, was substituted 9 times, 8957 minutes

EPL
51 matches, 19 goals, 8 Assists, came as a substitute 25 times, was substituted 8 times, 2632 minutes

But there is two things to mention - which might even equalize itself

When he came to the Bundesliga he only was 21 (11 of the 15 times he came as a substitute was in his first year). And he got better with every year. Into the EPL he came when he was older. But in Wolfsburg he was the target man and everybody played for him.

In my 50 years of supporting City I have met several players over the years. I will never forget the humility and sincerity of the likes of Colin Bell and Nicholas Anelka.

However, having gone down to watch training several times I managed to have a brief word with Edin. What a truly nice guy he really is. He is up there with the best players I have ever met.
