Edin or Mario?

Mario has the ability to drift off his defender into the space between defence and midfield, find space and shoot. It was admittedly wayward today, but that ability opens teams up and stretches them in a different way than simply across the pitch. His moving out to the left also gives Clichy more time to deliver.

Can't see why both can't play together. Silva and Nasri can play in the same team, so why not?

I'd never play Balotelli and Dzeko up front together on their own but with Aguero as well, it's a different story.

Two reasons:
1. Tevez
2. Aguero

I agree. Balotelli can really stretch a team when he stays out left and is a massive threat ghosting in at the back post.

I'm biggest Dzeko fan there is - but no need to get on Balotelli's back. lads??

At this moment Dzeko is clearly in better form (his goals per minutes played ratio this season is probably ridiculous) and should be playing MORE (not saying he should start but should be playing m.o.r.e.).
But Mancini is sometimes simply thick as a brick.

That said - could we in 4-2-3-1 against weaker opposition play with Aguero, Tevez AND Dzeko??

They both play for you and even though Fulham had parked the bus, you looked far better with Balotelli on the pitch. Balotelli and Dzeko are more intelligent players than Aguero and especially Tevez. They have better movement, make better runs and understand the right passes the make. Tevez and Aguero and better players though. For the Sunderland game would start Balotelli and Dzeko.

we could do it only if aguero and tevez were willing to run and defend like true wingers

Balo and Dzeko can't play together on their own. As proved a few times last season.

Can Balotelli play with anyone or is he a lone striker player?

-- Sat Sep 29, 2012 6:33 pm --
