These young men who believe the hate preached by Nick Griffin are just as bad as young muslims who believe Abu Hamza and co, both not wanted here.
Two sides of the same coin.
Each would be taking up the same roles on 'the other side' if they happened to be born somewhere else or to someone else.
Of course, there are sliding scales of extremism and the bog standard thick, marching EDL twat wouldn't necessarily equate to a fundamentalist terrorist. But an indoctrinated, but not acting upon it, Muslim extremist wouldn't necessarily equate to your hardcore, Anders Brievik types.
But they are all part of the same types. What marks them out, on both 'sides' is, in general, ignorance, insular ways, fear and a persecution complex. Quite often combined with the fact that they have little else going on in their lives and being part of a 'greater cause' makes them feel they have a bit more purpose.
Yes, that is a bit one size fits all. But, then again, with extremists of all sorts, it's surprising how often that 'one size' fits the bill.
