EFL Cup Games 21/22 December

He might cop for some flak tonight, I looked at some of the predicted line-ups from the Liverpool fans and they all wanted to go a lot stronger.
Look at the end of the day you can only win 3 domestic trophies I get some playing weakened teams at times but once you get to a certain stage you should be going all out to win it,just don’t get it and the views of red scouse fans says it all they wanted to win it regardless what they will say afterwards..

What is the point of getting that far if your then gonna stick a team out like that, win this and it’s a semi final and within a sniff of the final, the red scousers and klopp obviously think it’s not worthy of winning, his record of trophies since he arrived at the scousers isn’t really that impressive yet it’s made out as if they are winning trophy after trophy by the media ..
If they put out a strong side and fail to win the trophy then we all get a laugh at more scouse failure- embarrassing!
If they put out a weakened side and fail to win the trophy, then they have a ready made excuse- ‘we gave the kids a chance’ or ‘it’s not really a proper serious cup’ etc. to cover up more scouse failure- also embarrassing!
That’s the difference- we made this cup our own while also winning the FA cup and league titles- we have a coach who hungers for success and makes no excuses, unlike some.

It takes a clear blatant red card fir a Dipper to get a yellow like that inexcusable decision to not send Morton off for a horror tackle.

Even Twitter is on the case:
I wonder if that Morton non red card will receive the same amount of coverage that Kane's got at the weekend
Can anyone find a clip of this?

No doubt if they lose the media will be swamping us with the hard luck story of poor old plucky Liverpool having to play so many games.

Definitely, quarter finals against a decent team is the time to go a bit stronger. Leicester put them to shame, they too are still in Europe, they've had covid problems, probably have a smaller squad and still put out a stronger team.

If Liverpool are going to go out (I'd rather they went through and have 2 extra games) this isn't enough of a tanking, 2/3 more second half will do it.

Leicester have a much stronger side out than expected, not many missing for them other than long term absentees but a lot of them looked fucked from about the 5th minute onwards, they haven't played in a long time. They've also got zero ability to get on the ball, the entire pln is to get it into the channels as quickly as possible, it's the correct call and its working, I suspect it will be the same against us but we won't give the ball away anywhere near as much and hopefully have walker back to help nullify the threat. Their defence looks like it can be exposed easily and they've lost Ricardo too. If we come at them with tempo I suspect they'll crumble.
