EFL & NL Playoff Games | National League Final 1st June

Any reason why Sunderland couldn’t stay up? I think they’ll be better than Burnley and I imagine West Ham, Everton may struggle esp with new stadium. Hopefully not us either lol

Unfortunately they'll be the new Southampton. They need about 11 players. They have maybe 1 or 2 that are good enough. Southampton would probably wipe the floor with them to be honest.

Burnley have a decent manager and a good defence, just 16 conceded in 46 games, I know the PL is a step up but that's still impressive as fuck.

That said, I'm glad for Sunderland, great set of fans.

Good news. I like Sunderland and am pleased for them, but also good news for us as it's one less American owner - saw something on the BBC the other day saying if Sheffield U went up it would 14 of them, which could have caused issues with votes etc.

No idea how we won, they were better, as were Coventry.

But all season, we've dug in and battled.
Dont get me wrong, we need 11 new players pretty much next season,.but... we can dip our toes back in the money pool, and strengthen as an overall club....

Other than that...

I'm in total fuckin shock

Enzo Le Fee is a decent player, no? Remember him being linked to several top clubs, very surprised to suddenly see him in the Championship

Don't think the Sunderland fans give a shit about luck or whether their team deserved the result today.
Celebrate today, worry about next season in August.
Agree 100%, I don't have affinities to either, just saying they look extremely weak, even Europa league finalists look good 20 points above them.

Went their first the opening of the then Monkwearmouth Stadium. One of the best away nights I’d had.

Result I preferred. Happy to see Sunderland back, good club. I expect they'll struggle massively. Their squad is worse than any of the teams that came up last season. But, it might mean they can consolidate themselves as a team regularly coming up rather than fluking it and then they only need to survive once to give themselves a chance of becoming established again.
