EFL & NL Playoff Games | National League Final 1st June

Unfortunately they'll be the new Southampton. They need about 11 players. They have maybe 1 or 2 that are good enough. Southampton would probably wipe the floor with them to be honest.

Burnley have a decent manager and a good defence, just 16 conceded in 46 games, I know the PL is a step up but that's still impressive as fuck.

That said, I'm glad for Sunderland, great set of fans.
6 points of scum guaranteed

I'm very happy with all 3 promotees this year. And here is why.

All northern clubs, so longer journeys for those London/ Southern clubs, especially Sunderland which is the back of beyond and just gives more of a geographical balance to the PL.

It does me in and can't do anything about it that even away games for London clubs about 7 of them are still in bloody London. Not far too travel and feck all hassle for fans at stupid o'clock ko times.

One year I was monitoring Chavs and all of their December away games were v other London clubs. Meaning they had little travel and got Chrimbo at hone with their families. Just so annoying. So the more northern ( and Midlands) PL clubs there are for me is all the better.

Result I preferred. Happy to see Sunderland back, good club. I expect they'll struggle massively. Their squad is worse than any of the teams that came up last season. But, it might mean they can consolidate themselves as a team regularly coming up rather than fluking it and then they only need to survive once to give themselves a chance of becoming established again.
100% this, we are under no illusion. Next season will be a whipping. The missus said to me the other week, do you want to win the playoffs, . as next year will be awful. Pondered it, but ultimately, I only ever want my team to win..

So yes, I wanted it. And once my lads headed to Wembley last minute yesterday, I really was hoping they'd experience an amazing day, for a long time I was fearing it would be a damp squib.....
But that last 20 mins....bloody hell

Totally agree, next year will be probably horrific, but it means we're back in the money and even if we yoyo a little. The funds will shore up...
You could see the difference today from a team 3 years out of league 1 v a team flirting with the prem, they were way stronger....

However, It's another rung on the way back....

A relegation battle with the rags about to commence....

Agree 100%, I don't have affinities to either, just saying they look extremely weak, even Europa league finalists look good 20 points above them.
I'd take that - mackems bottom with Derby-like total, and rags/spuds above them on 20 more points - and all 3 relegated!
