EFL & NL Playoff Games | National League Final 1st June

I know it’s the playoffs, and all teams know how they work before the season starts, but York finished 23 points ahead of Oldham.

I was born n bred in Oldham. Chose City cos my best pal dad took me to the games when I was a nipper.

My old man is a rag but he drinks in a club where they are mainly latics fans.

So we decided to head down. What a great day.

I've been to Wembley with City a few times now but this was up there. The atmosphere for a national league play off was immense

Congrats to Oldham. Can only wish them the best!!

Are you strong in arm and thick in head?

Well done Latics got a few mates well pleased for them, went to the pub it was rammed. Said to my mate Southend just need to keep the ball to win, goalie pumped it forward it came straight back Oldham equalised then got the third, pub went mad.

34 years since their last promotion, since been relegated from the PL it's only been 1 way for them and that was down.

Watched quite a bit of these playoff games and it was tough on Southend who fought back at Rochdale & Forest Green to get to the final, but I'm glad the latics won as I know a few lads who follow them.

Well done to the Biffos, they've put up with a lot of shit in recent years and I'm glad they are back up in the 'real league'.

I've met Frank Rothwell and he's an absolute gentleman and has a real energy about him. He's a proper good laugh, generous with his time and I really hope he can get them back up the leagues as he deserves it. I wish there were more Frank Rothwell's running teams than half of the scumbags we currently have.

I've been a few times to Boundary Park this year and they are trying to improve things - the new stand is decent and whilst the football is a million miles behind City, it's still a decent watch - and you don't get ripped off buying anything either! :)

When they got promoted from the North to National in 2022, they beat Brackley in the semis who finished 21 points ahead of them. Swings and roundabouts the play offs.

Fcuk the Biffos. 22k went to Wembley. Half of them can't usually be arsed going down the road to Boundary.
I recall working with the cnuts when we were at our lowest, and they revelled in it. Fair play, but I can't wish the six fingered sheep bothering inbreds well ;-) :-)
One of my nephews who's only 12 and a City fan went with his dad who's from Oldham originally, so pleased they won and he had a good day out (still on the coach) but fuck the rest of em.
