Always a risk getting a player on loan with an early recall option included. If it was possible (ie, if Villa were agreeable), they should have got him tied down for the season. And yes, I know; hindsight is wonderful, isn't it?

Looks like he’s going to a higher level on loan again for the remainder of the season - Leeds or Middlesborough have enquired.

If he's as good as the stats suggest (14 goals and 3 assists in 21 games), it's probably a smart move for him, and Villa. Get him used to playing at a substantially higher level than Stockport. Tough on County, but there you go.
