EGRESS ISSUE

25K against Omonia and PSG (where result didn't matter) compares well to their crowds against Slavia and Litex. I'd bet we would get decent crowds against CSKA Moscow or Ajax when the results mattered.

The harsh facts are we will never fill the stadium untill we win a few trophies by spending billions and get some gloryhunters, oh wait didnt we build our life on slagging united for doing that?

sh!t where has the moral high ground gone??

Perhaps we need some kind of terrible event to make everyone around the world feel sorry for us, have churches & even fans of our nearest rivals donating money to us, then after building it all up, go to complete shit, spend decades failing to win the league & living in the shadow of Liverpool then finally when the most important thing in football becomes money, buy a load of overpriced players & actually win it?

Oh hang on... already been done.

I'm pretty sure Maine rd would've been sold out weeks ago for a UEFA cup quarter final.
And maybe COMS will get a Maine Road-sized attendance when we do eventually reach the quarter finals, but until then it's pure speculation.

And I appreciate that some people (i.e. the very elderly and those with very young children) need to park near the ground, but the rest don't. Me and my dad park about a 15 minute walk away and always have a chuckle at the huge queue of cars snaking out of the ground. We're in our car after 15 minutes and speeding off home, while the rest of them are still sat in the official car parks beeping their horns.

There are alternatives; people just need to engage their brains a bit more.

we park on the road where the fire station is not sure of its name in one of the car parks, we get away in about 10 minutes everytime. We have got caught up when parking elsewhere but changed where we park to avoid it, I suggest you do the same!

Somewhere I saw a post about the 38,000 at Villa tonight paying £25 a seat and contrasting this with our much lower European gates with cut price tickets.

IMO one of the reasons for poor attendance is that it takes up to two hours to get away from CoMS car parks after a night match.

Manchester City Council got the road planning round the stadium badly wrong and it definitely works against us.

There are several reasons for our attendances for the UEFA Cup games, but parking is certainly not one of them!!! When I'm in the car, I'm home within 15 mins (about 4 or 5 miles away).

Jesus where are you parking? I have missed about 3 games since Eastlands opened and have not once had any issues getting away from the ground. Try parking a short walk away, you will find you have no problems then. Have you ever tried getting away from Villa Park?

you can't expect to be able to just drive out of the grand when there's potentially 40,000 people coming out with you on foot! if you choose to park extremely close to the ground then you choose to take longer to get home. we park bout 10 minutes away and get home (to eccles) about half an hour after leaving the ground.

Don't use an enormous car park with one exit is the key.

Walk a 1/2 mile plus and there is no real traffic.
yep thats what we do...park up by the mitchell arms...leave at the final whistle and usually walking through the door at home in sale at most half an hour after the end of the game
