El Shaarawy and City

Hasn't his form dipped since Mario arrived? There seems to be quite a commotion about his drop in form on Italian websites.

He isn't worth that sort of money for me. As someone said, £20million is a more realistic value.

Papers are doing what papers do... Pull shite from their ass to sell stories.

El Shaarawy has only had a dip in goals. But that's because Mario is taking that by the scruff. Stephan is still playing very well, contributing all over the pitch, especially defensively... He's getting his scoring chances (admittedly not as many as before) but his finishing has let him down.

Ya, being blunt, his form has taken a "hit" but only because his stats arent growing since mario came. but a few games aside, hes been same old great

this is all according to Corriere Dello Sport, by the way

not verified, but I wouldnt be totally shocked

I would be I'd have serious questions whether he can make it in england. He's very young and I just don't think Milan have any intention of selling and I don't think anyone is gonna pay an obscene fee right now given his age

CdS probably got the story from greguccis assistant or some shit and didn't bother getting a second source. Lazy reporting per usual

Confirmed, 35m euro offer for him. I think it is too much right now.

Not a chance, would be a royal waste of 35m.

I find it hilarious how people who are saying "OMG YUSH!!! NEYMAR'S WORLD CLASS OMG <3" in the Neymar thread respond to the notion (probably not even true) of us bidding on a player in a big league who has scored 15 goals in 24 games from primarily a left-sided role in such a negative way. It's sad that people would prefer a footballer who they've (probably a few exceptions) only seen in Youtube videos and vs. England over someone who has put his team's attacking force on his back in a respectable league.

I'm not saying we should be spending 45 million on him, but it bothers me how people are backing a bigger move for a less proven player (Neymar). If we're spending 45 million on one player, it should be Cavani in my opinion. I'd rather we spread the money out and get multiple players though.

What like Maicon, Rodwell, Sincliar and Garcia!!! That worked well! No thanks we need world class talent that can go straight into the first team!

This guy is a real talent but not at the level we need.

We really need a 30+ goals a season man if we are serious about challenging United.

What we really need is a box to box midfield superstar like Arturo Vidal, a goal machine like Lewandowski or Cavani. at worst JoJo from Fiorentina to add more flair to the AMF area. Sad to report that the Gooners have opened negotiations to sign him as are PSG - Ancelotti is a very keen admirer.

Not sure what you on about I just wanted a translation

Milan confirm that they have received a €35m bid and it.'s reported in CdS that they are keen to get Lavezzi back from PSG.

SOUNDS LIKE GOOD BUSINESS FOR MILAN.

as with any foreign player the unique nature of the prem makes any signing a gamble. He has enough talent for sure, he plays where we need outstanding skill, fuck me he even tracks back. Against that is "would he settle down" Plenty of others have not, and for that reason it is a gamble we dont need to take.
If we have made a bid, it shows we are trying to improve in areas we really need to. If it's bollox there will be plenty more of that,

He's not a bad player but 35 million euros for him is too much. If Gotze was worth that much Shaarawy is definitely not.

I wonder if there was an 'understanding' in relation to El Shaarawy during the course of the negotiations over Mario's sale (a gentlemans agreement)?

Definitely, 35m euros could be spent alot better elsewhere.

Wouldn't surprise me if Mancini was interested but don't think higher up will fancy it.

A players worth is not dictated by his quality but his worth to the team and his desire to leave or not

We don't need shite like this. Not for 35million.

We need to buy 3 world class players who would walk into most teams in the world, because that's how far away we are from having a team to compete in Europe/ for the title.

I'm all for buying young players on top of that to improve the squad, but not for £35m. Mancini focuses far too much on players who play in Italy IMO because there's only a handful in that league who would be of any use to us.
