He's not a bad player but 35 million euros for him is too much. If Gotze was worth that much Shaarawy is definitely not.

Definitely, 35m euros could be spent alot better elsewhere.

Wouldn't surprise me if Mancini was interested but don't think higher up will fancy it.

A players worth is not dictated by his quality but his worth to the team and his desire to leave or not
Correct.

As with fine art a players worth is dictated by supply/demand and need.

The Torres/Carroll scenario proved that.

Could very well be a smokescreen to get the other deals moving. If not, he is a good player. We rely heavily on our forwards to stretch play and hold up the ball. I wouldn't be surprise if he is on our radar.

He is incredibly hardworking. Runs more than Aguero in that sense. He's always looking to play 1-2's. Loves the flick on, his signature move is the "cut in". Loves to shoot across goal.

Not seen so much of him but I can see why City would be interested in him on MANY levels. He would be a massive asset off the pitch if he can excel on it.
Oh, and Goetze is "worth" more than 32m on the open market so don't take that figure as a level of where the market is at right now.

The price for this player seems excessive and we aint going to pay that but he is a good player and definately the type we need to move forward.

I trust what us going on behind the scenes and believe that we will get the players generally that we want. However its not always the marquee signings that are a success so if we end up with players like this as oppose to Falcao and co it wont all be bad.

He is a decent player and does have the chance to become one of the best - but he is still only young and has still a lot to prove.

I would not pay over £12m for him at this time of his career.

More goals and same number of assists as Jovetic this season, a player who a lot of people on this board want us to sign. 3 years younger too. Would have him here but 35m euros seems a bit steep. Needs to sort that haircut out as well

Milan confirm that they have received a €35m bid and it.'s reported in CdS that they are keen to get Lavezzi back from PSG.

SOUNDS LIKE GOOD BUSINESS FOR MILAN.

Milan does only good business transfers, Galliani is worth more than Messi and Ronaldo combined.

El Shaarawy for 35 mil. they'd run all the way to the bank.

Arsenal - for once ready to splash big cash - are already in advanced talks. I'd say they are strong favourites to land him in the next few weeks...... or even days.

Corriere dello sport are reporting city offered €30 million and it was rejected..they say"sources close to the citizens indicate a new offer of at least €35 million".

TMW says City have made no contact and have no plans to, the money will be spent elsewhere.

Surely if we are going to sign El Shaarawy he will be our winger/striker that we talk about all the time?

Cant see him being the messiah to our goal scoring problems unlike Falcao, Cavani, Lewandowski etc..

Imagine getting El Shaarawy and Cavani in the windowfor our strike force additions? wow, we are spilt on here arnt' we?!

Milan aren't going to sell him. I'll bet my balls on that.

Turned down 30 more than once. We are financially sound for FFP this season, he is on incredibly low wages (just signed his contract to 2018 I believe).

Milan is in full out youth mode and selling him would be incredibly idiotic. We bought him for little, and he hasn't come close to his prime... Is best friends w Balotelli and is 110% Milanista.

The bids may be true... may not... But Id bet my allegiance to the club he isnt sold for a loooong time.

selling Ibra, Pato and Silva was beautiful business... 80+m, balanced the books completely, and brought in Balotelli.

Berlusconi has said over and over we are good now, selling is no longer necessary. Hes even hinting at another market "splash" this summer. As has his daughter, who unlike her father, is not known to BS at all

Young, stretches play wide, decent passing & pace, a goal threat, runs for days and tracks back

Seems like he has a chance to be great, I'd welcome him here and as for the price, I'll leave that to the businessmen!

Since it's my team I should clarify some things:

Berlusconi is wanting to replicate the "barca type system" of a core of players who grow together from a young age - which is beautiful. Milan can't complete at the moment financially with some of the monsters, so we need to be smart.

He also wants a very "italian cored" team... which is why why are trying to secure most of the best italian youth, thus having our own "italian national team"

2016-2018, we will have most of the Italian NT starting lineup as our starters

Balotelli, El Shaarawy, Saponara, De Sciglio, Cristante, and when he's old enough, the idea is that Mastour will be the new Messi (lets hold up on that for now.. )

All those players combined have cost us under 30m.
Brilliant business, and the idea of selling when you have surefire studs is asinine.

The ONLY pisser, is we had Verratti bought when he was 16. But he sobbed uncontrollably in the locker room and begged not to be sold because he didnt want to leave Pescara/his home. What a snag that wouldve been...

Something tell me Verratti is going to be here soon enough. Especially if carlo leaves PSG. Galliani wants him, and it'll between us and Juve to get him

Sky reports that City are considering to make an offer in the vicinity of €30m for El Shaarawy.

Today's news.

According to posts on this thread last month we've already had a 30 millions offer refused.

Not going to happen, money better spent elsewhere.

A poster just posted an article from 2-3 days ago where Mancini gushes over cavani and el shaarawy. He's done it before and has done it again.

We refused 30m from Napoli in January. and I fully expect we do it again.

I just dont see your need for him... then again, you guys are going bonkers for Cavani, and the last need I see for your team is strikers.
