Elano appreciation thread

we've slagged him off so much this season

but today he proved us wrong, total commitment, good decision making, a real asset

what's all the "we" shit.

ok, well, i wrote, "i've slagged him off", but then thought that made the thread a bit egotistical, so i changed it to we. of course, only a portion of fans have slagged him off, and i am sorry to offend anyone who didnt (even when he deserved it).

seriously i've had big questions over his attitude, mentality and commitment, even wanted him gone soon as possible, but today he looked like a new man, and I just wanted to give him a massive WELL DONE, if he can show that attitude week in week out, he will be a legend here

The Elano we fell in love with is back :) Great ability on the ball and showed today that he can get in amongst it when the team really needs him. Well played Elano BLUEmer

Yes, most of the lads played well today and praise too for Hughes' selection policy this afternoon. Spot on...for a nice change.

I thought the substitution after dunce got sent off was very poor. it put us on the back foot for the rest of the game. Robinho cannot play up front alone. He should have been moved to the left wing and studge left up front.

But I'm happy with the points and Elano was great today again. I'm convinced that if he didn't take the corners he wouldn't get half the slagging he does.

I thought he was one of our best players today and he hasn't played as badly this season as some people try to make out. I'd like to see him chip in with a few more goals soon though (assuming he gets a run in the side, which he should based on today).

Love the guy! Great player ... hope he stays ... soo much skill and a true blue! Please let him stay! Great game he put in ... hopefully he will put as much passion as he put into this game on others!
