Shite. Trotted about at a very slow pace, gave the ball away and shit out of a challenge or two. Almost played a great ball to Bellamy but that wasn't worth having him on as his overall contribution was very poor

I was one of those that had had enough of him before Christmas. The reports of his attitude stank and I didn't like what I had heard, but if the lad has now knuckled down and his attitude has changed for the better then I think we should give him another chance.

You can see it in his body language that he doesnt look arsed half the time - its blatently obvious I would say, but with all respect thats my opinion. I think we need players switched on and hungry all the time - consistancy is the key - even if you only get 15 mins at the end of the game!!!!

although very happy with the win (and relatively comfortable), the ONLY time we looked in trouble was when Elano came on the pitch - instantly tries the "Hollywood" passes and puts us under pressure...and shit out of 3 challenges in the 10 mins he was on.
hate it when Hughes makes that sub of Zab for Elano - if Hughes wnated to give him a run out it should have been Stevie coming off.

Came on when the game was essentially sewn up, played out of position. Failed to make an impact, yes but doesnt deserve the abuse he gets on here.

You couldn't have put it better m8!! Elano is a player best played just behind the front line I would say, he seems to try to hard at times with his celebrity passes - MR Audacious Hollywood Bloomer (Blumer)!!! lol.

He made wrong decisions throughout his 10 minutes and it was obvious to me that he was reluctant to make an easy pass to Ireland when Robinho was available via a more difficult pass which was cut out.
Ireland's face said it all after he did that for the 2nd time.
The guy isn't a team player and I can't see him being with us come August. It doesn't matter what he does for Brasil because he clearly cares a lot more for them than he does for MCFC who pay his wages.

I seem to remember Caicedo branded "the worst player to ever pull on a Blue shirt" after he'd been brought on by Sven 2/3 times for the last 10 minutes... then he scores in the Uefa cup and against West Brom and all is forgotten and people are starting threads stating he must start, he's got potential etc.
I don't care if the guy's a brat if he brings something to the team, and i can't judge him on that unless he's given a run... that would mean moving Ireland, which should only happen to accomodate Robinho and give our left side some more protection imo.

He has had 18 months -proved to be good on his day but sadly doesnt have enough days.Bad influence by all accounts-not the sort of consistent player that you win things with.Didnt seem to have many suitors in the transfer window.

No matter how much I love the guy I think he will be out in the summer and be replaced with either Kaka/ Diego. But one of those will be signed before he is released.
