Elderly Man Knocked over by car.

You're right, its a wonder nobody has been hit by a bus/car on Ashton New Road, I don't know why its not just closed for 30 minutes after full time, all the way down to Every Street, especially now we have 54000 exiting the ground, will get worse when the North Stand is built.

(Though it was much quieter last night than normal.)

This all day long! Just close off the roads near the ground and get all the buses and cars going away from the ground out of there.Sure there will be a bit of disruption for some people but it would be 30 minutes tops, if people don't realise a match is finishing and avoid the area for a bit, tough shit.

I've said for ages that two bridges would help, one at the end of Joe mercer way over car par park road and one at the end of that where it hits the main road and people cross. Wouldn't solve all problems but would help with some of the issues with people and cars fighting to get away

Don't even need bridges. Send cars out of the current pedestrian exit making it left turn only, and direct pedestrians right at the crossing to an empty ATW. The only real management is ensuring drivers use the right car park for the direction that want to leave.

any news on how the guy who got knocked over is? Also any news on the bloke who collapsed on the metrolink?
Heard via Didsbury Blues that the gentleman at the metrolink sadly passed away. He was called Malcolm Robins from Didsbury.

Terrible news but it's been waiting to happen for a few years now.
The only way out of the North car park at full time should be by the gas holder (and another exit out of the back over/under the railway). With all car-park in and exit roads traffic calmed.

Sad news. My condolences. The roads in the vicinity need to be closed, and maybe less traffic around the stadium will be safer to allow better dispersal.
