We went to Rotherham…
Had a new hip in February.
Played golf for two years driving a buggy.
Today I hired a golf trolley off the club and played 18.
First time I’d walked a round in years.
Anyone got any recommendations around £400.
I can manage a round if I don’t have a trolley to pull.
I play once a week, socially for the craic mainly, no official handicap.

I've always used a Powakaddy. £400 will get you a Powakaddy but will probably come with a lead acid battery. Much better to get a trolley with a lithium battery. I bought a back up as new spare trolley off Facebook for £150 included spare winter wheels which would cost £90 and umbrella holder £20 no battery but I already had one.

Motocaddy seem to be the best these days. If you are looking new and don’t want all the GPS etc then the basic one is about £500.
Lithium batteries are better as they take next to no time to charge up and are light.
If you only play socially once a week and aren’t bothered about buying a 2nd hand one then I’m sure you will be able to pick up a decent used trolley with lithium battery for £300 / £400.
Walking will be great for your new hip and fitness in general. If you’ve walked 18 today it will only get easier. Good luck and happy golfing.

Gokart trolleys have a really good reliability and customer service reputation slightly over £400 with lithium battery but worth it.
Wife has one and it's been very good.

I have a Powakaddy & charger you can have but no battery. Battery would be about £100 from golf trolley fella in a- o - m, not lithium though

Don’t get the cheap Ben Sayers one, false economy. Second hand motocaddy or powacaddy if you can’t stretch to the basic models new.

I have the motocaddy s1, suits my artificial hip and knee just fine
