If this is true, its clear he doesn't want to come here......we should shop wasting our time and move to plan B as it sounds like Benatia is wanting a move away from Roma...

Yes but they are holding out for €40m. Time to play hard ball offer €30m and have a mid July date, take or leave it. We need to look at other options if they are all playing silly buggers.

At least he wants to play for us, not like this guy. How about another youngster like Eder Alvarez Balanta or Samuel Umtiti? Well it's a FM based opinion even though i have never seen them play in real life lol.

Re: Eliaquim Mangala

Once he is here tho no one will care about he would have gone to Chelsea given the chance...

Based on the rumours tho he seems like to wait for other offers even after City clearly following him at least since last August. If no "better" offer happens he might be happy to come here then.

Only thing we have to make sure anyone comes here will have perfect mentality, hunger for success etc. We cant have Adebayors, Robinhos anymore.

In fairness to him, it's just a job, so why wouldn't he wasn't too great all the offers before deciding which one to take. The decision can be made on where you're going to live, salary, what you're going to win or, most likely, a combination.

He also wants to keep his mind on the world cup before deciding. I don't think there's anything there to be critical of. It's not like he's slandering Porto by claiming they don't respect him, don't buy him cake, don't give him compassionate leave etc just so he can leave

Disagree. Think this will go through after France go out. We would ave sorted Benatia by now if we were that serious. I believe he is teh red herring.

Re: Eliaquim Mangala

I still think this will go through once the WC is over for about £30m.

He's probably thought if he has a great WC the likes of Madrid / Barca / Bayern might show an interest and he'd go there instead. Unfortunately for him he hasn't.

I don't see anything to skrike about there to be fair to him.

Re: Eliaquim Mangala

Reading a few comments about him not wanting to come here.

He's stated that he wanted to sort his future out after the World Cup. Is there anything really wrong with that? Let him focus on getting into the side and impress for his own personal goals.

The overblown "Chelsea because of London" comment. When put on the spot, many choose familiarity and his agent has ties there.

At least Sagna has a better chance of convincing him than say Nasri and Benatia.

He also said he prefers Man Utd over us.
