We've fucked up!!

Mangala is not a proven CB by any stretch and we've just spent more than half our summers budget on him? How can we give utd shit when we are getting roasted like this?

They should pay over the odds because they have no CL and are in shit street! We are champions and are still getting Rodgered!! Embarrassing..

Don't get me started on letting players like Sanchez pass by and go to rivals!! If he's available, we should be in for him, simple as that! 30 m - we've just spent that on an unproven CB - Fuck FFP , sign then sell after like psg and everyone else will do!!

What happens when aguero is injured again, beast has a dry spell, Dzeko doesn't turn up again... We won the league last year because Liverpool fucked up, people are being too over confident on here 'we were champs we didn't need to strengthen much' - yaya dragged us through the shit and now he wants out too....

And no I'm not a rag, 118 season ticket!!

Crazy, typical city!!
Get in the bin

Re: Eliaquim Mangala

If a CB was needed..

Go for proven over potential. Benatia > mangala.

Serie a /Portuguese league...

Simple as.

We've got kids with potential like rekik/boyata... Save the big money for exp...

That's a fact!!

Why rag? What's incorrect?

Do you agree that 32m is fair?
We shouldn't have got Sanchez?

Explain

What's fair is we NEEDED a CB, we DIDN'T need another winger, hence us making Mangala our main signing for the summer.

I trust our club more than your opinion.

Now trot off back to sadcafe.

No, players like Sanchez can always be made room for. If Ronaldo/messi came up would you say we didn't need them? Sanchez is 25, just played great in a WC and then comes up!! No brainer..

Mangala - big risk... I remember when potentially good was worth a few mill. Not 32!!!!
Are you seriously comparing Sanchez to Ronaldo/Messi?

Fabregas was available this window, Suarez too, and Diego Costa. They are good players, should we have signed them too?

A centre back was our main priority, so we made it clear that Benatia and Mangala were our two main targets. We seem to managed to sign one of those and in a relatively quick and efficient manner.

I agree that we do need a player like Sanchez, but not as much as we need a centre back, and signing both simply isn't possible in this window. Besides, it's not like other players like Sanchez won't come around next summer (Di Maria, Reus, Robben etc).

So your answer is to buy a player who will be missing for January every couple of years in a position which rotation isn't exactly wanted and hope he returns and hits the ground running as a week after he returns it's the CL knockouts. Not quite sure on the league reference. Players from Portugal seem to settle better here than those from Serie A

Re: Dzeko [Merged]
wank...worst 'target man' in the prem, touch like a rapist, cant jump, inconsistant, never mind the fact he walks around with a face on AND cost £30m....needs selling ASAP

RW9:

Hearing dzeko is good in the air constantly, my nan wins more headers than him, one of the worst city players ive seen...and thats forgetting he cost £30m>>>embarrasment

But he is ITK:

RW9:

Dont know if this has been posted already but have it from a reliable source that Skrtel to City is a done deal (unfortunately) ...dont see the point in us spending 20m on a 3rd choice CB...but ahh well!

Seems he is a Blue, though moves around a lot, but I don't go much on his ITK skills (despite him slating Tolmie a lot) or his player assessments.

What did you think of Dzeko last year eh?

Re: Eliaquim Mangala

I've only watched mangala twice and that was in both semi finals v sevilla, the first game he impressed and showed good leadership qualities, the 2nd game was 1 of the worst performances of a centre half id ever seen at that level, however saying that Kompanys display at anfield last season was awful and he's not a bad player is he?

Re: Eliaquim Mangala

I think the biggest reason we went for Mangala was his age.

I think at this moment in time Benatia is a superior and a more experienced player, but can you imagine our situation in 4 years time when pretty much 90% of our squad will need replacing because they are all in their thirties.

Like I said, I would have prefered Benatia but at the end of the day our side needs more youth.
