I'm sure every team in Europe now knows we need to sell an overseas player before Mangala comes in......no way are we going to get market value for someone like Garcia or Nastasic. We should have made a deal long ago if we wanted to get a price we happy with. Now, we'll just have to take anything we're offered or Mangala is going to miss the first month of the season.......Its ok letting a deal drag out if we're still mid pre-season but prem is only 13days away........this is turning out to be poor business for a team that said is did its business early...(imho!)

We don't need to sell before we buy........ We need to be below the limit when the window CLOSES not half way through it!

Thanks for clearing that up mate....either way, teams still know we got to sell so its going to make it very difficult to get true market value for the players on the way out!

I was thinking it might be all down to third party ownership up until this week being the reason for the delay but I get the feeling now it's because we need to sell a foreigner to get him in.

We potentially have a £10m asset in Garcia but if we announced Mangala now every club knows we will likely be in a bit of a desperation to move him on and no doubt stupid bids of a few million will be coming in I reckon.

I just think the club are holding out for as much as possible with Garcia and once he is moved on we will announce Mangala.

With FFP ever bit of money counts.

This has been posted several times over the last few weeks by more than one poster and is more likely than not true. Rodwell and/or Garcia need agreements to move before we announce Mangala.

I'm sure you said earlier in the thread that he had already signed - I believed you! Has he not actually signed then?
