What bother? are you seriously going to let one or two trolls upset you? many more, including myself, have been thanking you,or have you missed those posts??

Not just my bother others are involved.

Thanks for your appreciation - cheers.

Wait, so you sharing your info on here and people calling you a c**t for it somehow effects your friends?

Mangala hasn't signed a contract because it would be illegal for him to do so. He might have put his name on a piece of paper but it's not legally binding and not registered with the FA or UEFA so for all intents and purposes it's an autograph that could potentially turn into a contract. He could back out of it tomorrow if he wanted (though I don't presume he would)

The hold up is because Doyen Sports who own 33% of Mangala and are pissing about in terms of price. I would suggest that the Falcao whisperings are involved in this somehow, either because they're trying to push him on us or we're being a bit cute as a negotiating tactic.
In one.

Opening my big gob on here effects my friend... Potentially.

So medical done 12/7 & he signed something 12/7. Contract / pre-contract. I was led to believe in good faith it was a contract. My friend who was there at the time definitely thought it was a contract. Had all the hall markings of previous signings anyway. Certainly a commitment to play for MCFC. If not legally binding why sign it & why the photos & video?

If true it still means that the deal isn't done. We haven't agreed a price with the player's owner. So why is there an assumption that the deal will be completed?

It can't be legally binding because we don't hold his registration as he hasn't completed his transfer. He can't agree to play for us if he still has a binding contract with Porto. What has probably happened is that we're just waiting to finish the negotiation with Doyen Sports but have already agreed with Mangala and Porto so he could sign his contract, do his media stuff then go on holiday. A time saver essentially. This means that as soon as the third party stuff is done we can announce it all officially and get it all sent off to the FA and UEFA. I presume we didn't think it would take this long and it would be done when he was on holiday.

You also shouldn't put your friend in a potentially compromising position without his permission.

I think he was referring to the risk of posting the info his friends disclose to him here.

Whether the contract Mangala signed is "live" yet is neither here nor there, whether or not the conditions are met that it does go live is not up to him and it is binding. There will be a deadline for it though.

The alleged third parties hold-up is very shady indeed, I was told there have been no negotiations on our end with them which there would have to be unless it was decided in the agreement between themselves and Porto that they would jointly evaluate any transfer bid as a whole and split percentages proportionately - a much faster process. If the latter we could have signed him straight away, if the former then he would still technically be a Porto player and training with them until such time as we had agreed the rights to buy him from the third parties. There are many players who have similar ownership structures to Mangala, where there have even been problems with third parties during transfer to another club, and not one of those players have been left in this alleged "limbo" Mangala is supposed to be in.

It just so happens that our probable confirmation of the deal coincides with us shifting our prospective FFP sheet under the £49m with the sale of Rodwell and then cutting our foreign quota back down to 17 players with the sale of Garcia, so we never have to negotiate sales from lower ground after confirming Mangala. I am also still assured that Mangala has participated in some training with ourselves this week.

Very true. That's why I'm not doing so again. Cheers.

Re: Eliaquim Mangala

Looks like this thread is going the way of Tolmie's...people get bored and start a witch hunt for someone posting in good faith.
Take everything with a pinch of salt and keep the accusations and insults away so we can have fun and get some possibly accurate snippets of info.
